Day 1 of year 14 is in the books! Today we welcomed freshmen on campus. This year I’ll be Academic Dean, Math Department Head, and math teacher. I’m ready and excited!

Wow, what an amazing 3 days! I’ve learned A LOT and met some amazing people 💚 I am truly inspired by all of the presenters, especially the Boston sellers who shared their stories! Already looking forward to next year

How do you store your card sorts, task cards, and scavenger hunts? Today I had students work in pairs on this card sort activity. I laminated the cards to use them year to year and will store them in labeled ziplock bags.

Today in Geometry we are making origami snowmen from Hello Origami. In Algebra 1 we are doing a plotting coordinated activity that will make Rudolph or Santa depending on which they get. I also have a puzzle where students have to guess the song title from the picture. What are you go to activities before a break?
