🌺 Finding My Way Home: Touchstones for Growth and Healing

These Touchstones evolved from my own growth and healing journey, informed by my Mindful Awareness practice and the science of Interpersonal Neurobiology.

There is nothing to remember or memorize. The Touchstones are gentle invitations to pause, notice what is here, and turn toward what your nervous system may need.

Pause → Anchor → Notice → Care → Integration
(a shorter cycle to begin with)

🌺 I invite you to join me on **Thursday, September 3 at 11:00 AM ET
for a Vagal Toning Practice, where we will practice and explore ways to soothe and settle the nervous system through breath, sound, movement, and soothing touch.

Come as you are. 🌱

My own healing taught me that safety begins in the nervous system — in listening to the wisdom of our bodies. Healing isn't about fixing ourselves. It's about softly reconnecting with who we already are. 💛

"Look for the Glimmers"
Deb Dana, LICSW

Glimmers are micro-moments of goodness.

Research on positive experiences suggests that taking even 30 seconds to pause and notice a moment of goodness can begin to help us take in the experience more deeply.

When we notice a glimmer—even for a few moments—we give our nervous system a moment to soften and settle. 🌿

This was a glimmer I noticed at sunset by the pond near my home. 💛

Post-Traumatic Growth & Resilience Coaching for Women

In a session, we listen softly to the body's natural wisdom, intelligence, and rhythms.

I recorded this last September, and as I re-listened, I wanted to offer these words again. ✨ If something here resonates with you, I warmly invite you to schedule an Inquiry Call to learn more about Finding Your Way.

Box Breath 🍃

This mindfulness breathing practice gets its name from the four equal steps that form the "sides" of a box. I often use it when I feel anxious or unsettled. It can be powerfully soothing with soft effort.

Begin by finding a comfortable position — sitting or standing, feet steady on the floor or earth. Take a slow breath in, and out.

Notice how your body feels. Are there any places that feel relaxed? Constrained? Tense? Or you may not feel any of these — simply notice whatever is there.

Choose a count that feels natural — 2, 3, or 4.

Inhale: Breathe in slowly through your nose.

Hold: Pause and hold.

Exhale: Slowly breathe out through your mouth.

Hold: Pause, lungs empty, before the next inhale.

Take a moment to notice how you feel.

Like the surface of still water…
