校園唸書日常
學生中心的陽光真是美好

最近寫論文寫到腦細胞大量消耗。中午去哈佛的女性法律聯盟社團吃午餐，吃了好多免費壽司，然後又發給我們好多零食。補充消耗的能量。

我覺得這個學校就是很怕學生變瘦！（氣）

Lately, working on my thesis has been draining my brain cells. I attended a lunch event at Harvard's Women Legal Association club at noon and enjoyed a ton of free sushi, followed by a bunch of snacks. It replenished the energy I had expended.

This school seems worried about students losing weight!

開始有綠色的樹葉跟草地出現，春天已經來了。

Haagen-Daz 甜筒一隻只要台幣30幾元。
在美國，健康的食物都很貴，不健康的食物倒是有很合理的價格。

A Haagen-Dazs ice cream cone costs only around 30 Taiwan dollars. In the United States, healthy food is expensive, while unhealthy food is usually available at reasonable prices.

中午12點一下課，就快速地衝往公車站，前往波士頓馬拉松現場。

可能因為很有名的專業組跑者都已經跑完了，現場雖然人很多，但還不到擠不僅去的程度

相較於週六的大晴天，今天卻是陰雨綿綿的日子。不過，現場仍然是充滿了活力跟叫喊。

在波士頓居民跟遊客們的熱情下，我都想參加馬拉松了呢！（不過波士頓馬拉松這種等級太高了，難以達成）

提供一些現場的影片給大家，最後一支影片中，前房的藍色看板就是終點了！我幾乎已經到了終點線前，再進去就要收費了（窮學生到此加油已經覺得很幸福）

As class concluded at midday, I hurried to the bus stop and boarded a bus to the city center, where the Boston Marathon was being held.

Many people were present, but it wasn't very packed, perhaps because the well-known professional runners had already completed it.

It was a dreary and wet day in contrast to the lovely weather on Saturday. Nonetheless, there was great excitement and jubilation in the air.

Given the enthusiasm of the locals and visitors in Boston, I even wanted to run the marathon! (But, the Boston Marathon's standard is too high and challenging to meet.)

I'm giving everyone access to videos I took at the scene. The blue sign-up ahead shows the finish line in the last film. I was nearly at the finish line and continuing would cost money (As a broke student, I already felt very fortunate to have made it this far and cheered on the runners).

畢業論文還在努力中，每天依舊持續著焦慮的生活（苦笑）
但是遇到馬拉松界的重大賽事即將開跑，還是利用週末下午去現場勘查了一下！
現場氣氛很棒呢！據當地朋友說，之前因為疫情所以沒這麼盛大，中間還有停辦，現在美國已經從疫情中復原了，所以今年很熱鬧。
一起期待一下週一的波士頓馬拉松吧❤️

來波士頓一定要來場紅襪！！

今天下午上課時，
收到哈佛的即時訊息有疑似爆裂物。
波士頓馬拉松即將開跑，大家對疑似爆裂物都超緊張的。

好在最後證實沒事

晚上回家立刻看到Netflix上了波士頓馬拉松的炸彈事件

下週一就是波馬了
希望論文寫到一個段落，讓我有時間可以去看看現場

最近在抱怨哈佛的畢業服租一件要95美金，
超會搶錢！！（目前還沒有畢業，只是先在網路上付錢租賃而已）

想想來這邊這麼久了，
都還沒給大家看看哈佛的豪華宿舍。

哈佛就是整個Cambridge區的大地主，
以下是我租的宿舍，
其實也不是什麼豪華版的，就是一般的一房一廳，
所有的傢俱都是自己購入的，只給你一間空屋

租金這種傷心事，有想知道私下再問我吧，
簡而言之，台北市中心東區、信義區租一間三房兩衛浴的，租金可能都還不夠租到哈佛的這間小宿舍

不過環境優美，
離哈佛法學院走路一分鐘（感謝這個位置，所以我一堂課都沒有錯過），睡到剩十分鐘都還可以趕上上課

上次幫他算過租金收入，off-campus housing每月收入幾百萬美金以上吧（驚）

小日記持續延滯，因為上週受到多份報告的重擊，每天都在沒日沒夜的趕報告，終於在今天的deadline順利交出最後一份！
終於有點時間可以來寫日記了。

今天來介紹一下哈佛的神奇evening van，
堪稱Havard Uber系統，
用手機App操作
每天晚上七點運作到凌晨三點。
在Cambridge校園周遭大約走路三十分鐘的距離左右，可以到指定點接送，然後再把你送到家門口，
也有人在自己家裡叫車，然後叫車到超市，買完東西在叫車到超市把自己接回家。
如果在學校讀到半夜，叫個車也可以把你送到家門口，重點是完全免費。

我自己的肉身實測經驗：
上次同學煮東西找我去吃，我就晚上九點叫車去同學家（步行路程大約25分鐘），去程很順利，車子來我家門口接，然後很快就到同學家聊天吃東西了，
結果回程的時候，大概是很晚了大家都叫車，結果一等等了三十分鐘車子才來

不過大致上還是很推薦的，
雖然Cambridge很安全，但是如果晚上十一二點一個女生在外徘徊還是有點擔心。
Harvard Evening Van真的是女學生的好朋友！！




I had a tough week last week, struggling with several papers; thus Harvard Diary was still delayed. Day and night, I worked frantically to complete my writing assignments before today's deadline.
After finishing my homework, I can now write in my diary!

Let me introduce the magical "Harvard Evening Van."
Similar to the Uber system, it runs every night from 7 pm until 3 am.
In Cambridge, the Van may pick you up at the predetermined location and drop you off at the predetermined locations (around 30 mins walking distance).
Some individuals request the Evening Van from their flat, go to the supermarket with the Van, and then request a van to pick them up from the supermarket after their shopping.
You may even call a Van to transport you home if you study at school till the wee hours. This service is offered without charge.

My personal experience with the Evening Van:
A few weeks ago, a classmate cooked and shared with me, so I ordered a Van to go to my classmate's place at 9 pm ( The distance is about a 25-minute walk). Soon after picking me up at home, the Van took me to my classmate's house. It was likely exceptionally late on the way back, and everyone requested a car, so it took 30 minutes for the Van to come.

It is still strongly recommended.
Even though Cambridge is relatively safe, a female out late still must use caution.
Schoolgirls may count on Harvard Evening Van as a great buddy!

晚上八點剛上完課，
今天又是一個要徹夜唸書跟寫作業的日子。
去了趟圖書館裝免費咖啡，

哈佛圖書館真的不錯，有提供免費的咖啡，有點像膠囊咖啡，但是咖啡包材質是可分解的，重點還有口味選擇，試過幾種都不錯
除了咖啡包之外，當然也少不了各種茶包。

總之免費的就是讚～～
裝一杯繼續跟明天的Reading及作業奮鬥！！

今天要介紹一下哈佛圖書館的小角落。
為了怕大家讀書太累，哈佛法學院圖書館有各種遊樂設施，例如拼圖之類的。
這個角落是放了很古典的西洋棋桌，抽屜打開來就是西洋棋了。
是該學一下，來演個后翼騎兵了

At 8:00 p.m., I just completed the course.
Overnight assignments and studying are still required for today.
Therefore, it's crucial to visit the library for a free cup of coffee!

The library of Harvard Law School (HLS) is first-rate. It offers free coffee that is like capsule coffee, except the coffee bag's substance is biodegradable. There are several taste options.
Of course, all types of tea bags are also necessary in addition to coffee bags.

For students, free is always a plus!
Take a cup, and keep struggling with the reading and task for tomorrow!

I'd like to now introduce a section of the HLS Library.
The HLS Library offers a variety of entertainment options, including puzzles and chess, to assist students to decompress.

The chess is in the drawer on those very traditional chess tables.
Pretend to be the actress from "The Queen's Gambit" while you are sitting!
