🐾UPCOMING PARENT - TEACHER CONFERENCES 🐾

⚠️Monday, October 12, 2026 is a date the district has reserved for teachers to be on campus without students for parent - teacher conferences. This scheduled date is the MONDAY that we return from Fall Break. Students will not be at school on Monday, Oct 12; students return on Tuesday, Oct 13. CMS Parent-Teacher Conferences are open slots for the following date and times.

Monday, Oct 12, 2026: 8:00am - 11:00am and 12:30pm - 1:30pm

We have reserved 15 minutes conference spots for each teacher to conduct these conferences in the form of a face -to -face meeting, phone call, or a Google meet (whichever your preference and most efficiently fits your schedule. ) Limited spots are available. You can meet with some or all of your student's teachers. If we cannot get all of the requests scheduled on October 12, we will schedule these conferences during our teachers' planning periods.

If you would like to reserve a conference spot, please fill out this Google form for your student. The last day to request a parent teacher conference for the Oct 12th date is Friday, October 2.

Below is information from the **Bossier Parish Grading Policy** outlining how gradebooks for students in **Grades 6–8** are structured. We encourage you to use this as a reference when reviewing your student’s grades and academic progress.

Our goal is to keep families informed and provide a clear picture of student performance as we close out the first grading period.

Working 9-25 today. We celebrated our RHINESTONE moments with our students proficiency tests by bringing a little joy for Dolly Parton day. Our teachers enjoyed some music, pink snacks and treats and hopefully a little bright light to your car line this morning.

Ms. Selmer's 8th graders were busy planning initial research for their new Science unit today. They focused on building knowledge for plate tectonics and how fossils of the same creatures can be found in different parts of the world.
