REMINDER: Don't miss this event tonight! It's for adults only. Protecting Our Kids!

Circle this on your calendar for tomorrow night!

If your child is a gamer, has a social media account or simply has a cell phone, "Protecting Our Kids" is a presentation parents cannot afford to miss.

At 5:30 p.m. Monday, October 17 parents are invited to attend an adult-only conversation with Louisiana State Police, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Bossier City Marshal’s Internet Crimes Task Force, Bossier Parish District Attorney’s Office and Bossier Schools. Parents will leave better informed and empowered to protect their kids.

The presentation will be held at Bossier Instructional Center, 2719 Airline Drive in Bossier City. Again, this is for parents only. No children please due to the mature content that will be discussed.

This week our President and founder, had the privilege of teaching students of Cope Middle School wilderness survival sills. This group of fun and engaged students were sponges of taking and applying the 10 essentials of survival. They are reading the .paulsen “The Hatchet.” More to follow on the student’s events during the day.

Another training moment with our President and founder, teaching 2 students of Cope Middle School how to make a sling. These young students grasped techniques and are game on for their future adventures. Whether in remote urban situations or in the wilderness - these critical learnings stay with them. As they are reading the .paulsen “The Hatchet.” I’m thinking wilderness adventures are in their future. More to follow on these student’s events. www.learntosurvive.com.

REMINDER:

The Hero Garden has been planted and will be dedicated on Veteran's Day (weather permitting) with our military family members present. We wanted a tangible homage to our service men, women, and children.
