SOBO Spirit Night & Market is on September 17th! Come shop, eat, and support all your local SOBO schools as students from across the community perform and show off their school spirit! $5 at the gate 6 and under free A portions of the proceeds will go towards school improvements, STUCO, and PHS hospitality.

Positive Office Referrals! We had a great week!

📣 NEW PARENT NOTE FOR EXCUSED ABSENCES! 📝✨

We want to make sure our Curtis Elementary families have the information they need when their child has to be absent. Beginning this school year, parents may use the official district Parent Note for Excused Absence to excuse eligible absences.

Here are a few important reminders:

📌 Official Template Required: Please use the district-provided Parent Note template.
⏰ 5-Day Submission Window: Parent notes must be submitted within 5 school days after your child returns to school.
📅 Annual Limit: Up to 5 days per academic year may be excused using parent notes. Additional parent-documented absences will be recorded as unexcused unless supported by official medical, dental, or legal documentation.
🚫 Full-Day Increments: Parent notes cannot be divided into partial days. An early dismissal or late check-in counts as one full day toward the 5-day annual limit.

Our amazing teachers at Curtis Elementary are already shining bright as they prepare for another incredible school year! During our annual Teacher Lock-In, they rolled up their sleeves to get classrooms ready for our students—but they also made time for a little red, white, and FUN!

From delicious pizza 🍕 and sweet cookies 🍪 to exciting rounds of Bingo with Mrs. Bird, there were plenty of smiles, laughs, and team spirit to go around.

We’re proud to say our staff is truly the “star-spangled best,” and they’re ready to help every Curtis student soar to success! Here’s to a school year filled with learning, laughter, and reaching for the stars.

Join us for Meet the Teacher on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM. This is a come-and-go event and a great opportunity to get ready for an amazing school year!

During the event, families can:
