General information

The Louisiana Assistive Technology Initiative (LATI) is a project of the Louisiana Department of Education (LDE). It was formed to provide leadership, professional development, and resources to local education agencies in the area of assistive technology. As part of the initiative, the LDE issued a request for applications to establish regional assistive technology centers. Districts in each region were eligible to apply. Currently, Region VII represents the following districts and universities/colleges in Louisiana: Bienville, Bossier, Bossier Parish Community College, Caddo, Centenary College, Claiborne, DeSoto, Linear Leadership Academy, Linwood Middle Charter, LSUS, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine, and Webster.
