Today, our Secondary 2 students held a soft launch of their new small business: Lion’s Brew! 🦁☕️ Faculty and staff tested out their ordering system and tried their signature coffee beverages! We are looking forward to launching this business soon for our BCA parents and community, so keep a look out for our launch date!

Thank you to Sydney Wilkerson with Sydney W. for the initial training and being the business guide for our Secondary students as they begin this business venture! Thank you for extending your expertise to these entrepreneurs!

Yesterday, our Upper Elementary students visited the Shreveport Water Works Museum to explore the history and science behind one of our most essential resources—clean water! As we study chemistry this year, students are learning how matter interacts, how substances can be changed and separated, and how chemistry impacts our everyday lives. At the Water Works Museum, students were able to see these concepts come to life as they learned how water has been collected, treated, purified, and delivered to our community.

The field trip also gave students an opportunity to develop a deeper appreciation for clean, safe water and the scientific processes that make it possible.

We hope they left with a greater understanding of the chemistry behind water treatment and a renewed sense of gratitude for something we often take for granted—having clean water available with the turn of a faucet.

Last week our Secondary students had a Chocolate Chip Cookie Challenge as part of their Erdkinder class! They are learning meal planning and cooking skills. What better way to kick off this unit than a baking challenge! Each student who wished to bake brought their own recipe and baked their favorite version of Chocolate Chip Cookies! Then, the rest of the class joined them in judging the cookies and picking their favorite! It’s going to be an awesome year in Secondary at BCA!

As we prepare to welcome a new school year, we can’t help but look back on one of our favorite nights from last spring. 🇺🇸✨

Our 2026 BCA Gala was a beautiful celebration of 250 years of America! It was an evening filled with patriotic performances by our talented students, delicious food, live music, and a wonderful community coming together to celebrate all God has done for our country, our school, and our community!

These events remind us that BCA is so much more than a school. We are a family. We are incredibly thankful for everyone who helped make this special evening possible and for the memories we made together!

Here’s to a new year of learning, growing, and creating even more unforgettable memories! ❤️💙🤍

Thank you to Brittney Malone Lites for filling in and capturing a night to remember!
