WE CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOU BRHS! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Individual teachers will review course materials and expectations the first week of classes; however the BRHS teachers have provided some suggestions of materials you can pick up to help prepare you ahead of the opening of school. These materials are not required for the first day of classes. All students must come to the first day of class with a fully charged chromebook. We are giving this information to those who like to plan ahead. We can not wait to see you for the 2026-2027 school year! ๐Ÿ˜Š

The MOST important thing we want to remind you of with your materials is to bring your Chromebook to school day one and every day - FULLY charged (Unless students asked specifically to keep Chromebooks, we have all of them and will have them fully charged and ready to pass out to you on your first day back). ALSO be sure to bring many writing utensils (pencils in particular), and come with a willingness to learn.

BRHS Department Material Recommendations:

Art: A pencil with an eraser every day

English: A writing utensil (blue/black pen and/or pencil), a small 3-ring binder with note paper
Hammond: a durable 3-ring binder (can be shared with other classes); loose-leaf note paper; blue- or black-ink pens; a multi-color 4-pack of highlighters. Teacher will provide binder pocket dividers and have pencils and erasers available as needed.

History: 3 ring binder, pencils/pens (no neon or loud ink), notebook paper

Math: Brewer: Spiral notebook and binder. Crocker/Callahan: Binder plus paper or notebook

STEAM: Small 3 ring binder, pencils

Science: A binder and a spiral notebook/loose leaf paper to go in the binder, and plenty of pencils.

Health/PE: Smile, great attitude, and a great personality!

Foreign Language:
French: 3 ring binder (Can be a section in a binder for other classes) OR a folder, some lined paper, pen or pencil.
Spanish: One subject notebook and a folder, a pencil/pen.

Boothbay Region, BRHS Family, Community Friends:
Welcome Back to the 2026โ€“2027 School Year!

Welcome back, AOS 98! For those who may not know me, I am Tricia Campbell, and it is my absolute honor and privilege to serve as the principal of Boothbay Region High School. As I begin my 12th year in our district and my 7th year leading BRHS, I am filled with pride and excitement for the year ahead.

Before we dive in, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our incredible maintenance and custodial team. Thanks to their hard work and dedication over the summer, our school and grounds look truly outstanding - minus the big dig out in front of our building of course (we see it too, lol) but we promise that will be closed up very soon. The contractors hope to be completed with their work shortly. It has been a very busy summer here on campus!

Boothbay Region High School remains dedicated to offering a comprehensive, student-centered education. Our robust curriculum integrates modern technology across disciplines and features unique course offerings, including Advanced Placement (AP), Honors (H), and College Preparatory (CP) and General (G) course options.

We provide diverse pathways to higher education, technical training, and real-world experience:

AP4ME Program: Advanced Placement courses delivered through the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
Dual Enrollment: College credit opportunities for juniors and seniors via Maineโ€™s Public Universities Early College program.
Career & Technical Education: Vocational skill development through the Bath Regional Career and Technical Center (BRCTC).
STEAM Pathways: Cutting-edge courses such as Introduction to Engineering, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Advanced Applied Physics-Robotics.

Bringing Learning to Life Beyond the Classroom:

Community-based learning is central to the BRHS experience, weaving through every discipline - from the Humanities and STEAM to customized independent studies. We are deeply fortunate that our local businesses and organizations take such pride in investing in our students. Professionals frequently visit our classrooms and welcome students and educators to their own facilities, giving our youth unique, hands-on opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.

By tackling genuine issues that impact local families, our students learn to become real-time problem solvers. These experiences inspire them not only during their high school years, but also encourage them to bring their expertise and passion back to our community after high school and/or completing their post-secondary education.

To reinforce this commitment, all BRHS students complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service before graduation, with many participating in local work-study programs and business mentorships. Thanks to our master teachers and dedicated staff, our students consistently excel academically, athletically, on stage, and in artistic endeavors across the state, nation, and world.

We are thrilled to welcome several new and returning educators to our team this year:

Special Education Department: Please welcome Christina Morley (Special Education Teacher), Stephen Gottlieb (Ed Tech II), and Kayla Taylor (Ed Tech III). We are excited to have your energy and skill on our team!
History Department: A warm welcome back to Emmett Nunes, who returns as a valued member of our History Department and the broader CSD and BRHS family.
Guidance & 504 Supports: After many years of outstanding service in the Special Education Department, Cathy Hodgdon is transitioning to the Guidance Department to assist our Guidance Director/504 Coordinator and serve as a 504 Support Provider. She is very excited and we could not be more grateful for her dedication to all the students and staff and her willingness to take on this new challenge. Please be patient as the team lays the foundation and establishes protocols and guidelines. Communications will be forthcoming.

I am thrilled to welcome our entire BRHS and AOS 98 community to the start of the 2026โ€“2027 school year. Your skills, passion, and commitment ensure our students achieve remarkable things every single day. Thank you for everything you do, and letโ€™s make this an incredible year!
