📣 The 2027–28 FAFSA is now open — earlier than ever!

Students and families can get an early start on the financial aid process by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Completing the FAFSA is an important step in accessing federal, state and college financial aid — and it is also required when applying for grants from the Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund.

BRSAF is pleased to announce the establishment of two new Named Funds that will support Boothbay Region High School graduates and alumni pursuing education and training beyond high school.

The Joe & Jill Doyle Fund and the Bua Family Fund will both help strengthen BRSAF's mission of providing need-based grants to local students as they pursue their educational goals.

Recipient Spotlight: Kai Pitcher, BRHS Class of 2024

Kai has successfully completed her first year at Maine College of Art & Design (MECA&D), pursuing her passion for art and design.

Students like Kai are able to pursue their educational goals thanks to the generosity of our donors and community supporters. We are proud to be part of her journey and look forward to following her continued success.

BRSAF is pleased to help support and promote a free two-part college application workshop series led by educational consultant Jane Hahn of My College Advocate.

📍 Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library
📅 June 23 & June 25
⏰ 10 a.m.–12 noon
💻 Free for BRHS students

Students will receive guidance on:
✔️ Completing the Common Application
✔️ Beginning the college essay process
✔️ Developing ideas for a strong personal narrative

Students are encouraged to attend both sessions.

Because of your generosity, the Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund has exceeded its 2025–2026 General Fund Annual Campaign goal of $275,000. And in this grant cycle to date more than $537,000 in grants have been awarded to support Boothbay Region High School graduates pursuing education beyond high school.
