MS Reman Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships offer a unique opportunity for Caterpillar to hire qualified personnel and students to achieve real-world experience and advance their educational goals simultaneously. Since fall of 2021, the MS Reman facilities have signed 8 apprentices from Northeast Community College’s Tiger Apprenticeship Program. In fall 2021, the first 4 apprentices signed from the Precision Manufacturing & Machining Program, and another 3 in fall of 2022. One additional apprentice signed from the Industrial Maintenance Program. Each path creates a potential pipeline of talent for hard-to-fill, highly skilled production positions. The students work as part-time employees while completing their two-year technical degree. Apprentices are partnered with peer mentors and rotate to various machines or areas to reinforce their classroom education through increasingly complex and challenging tasks that broaden their experiences. The Tiger Apprenticeship is a strategic partnership between college CTE programs and industry, and the MS Reman team is excited to see the programs continue to grow in the future.

We are very thankful for the gene Haas foundation and its continued support of our students and program! The grant we receive each year helps us tremendously by providing scholarships for the students, personal tools, support for Skills USA, and support for individual student NIMS credentialing. (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) This year We were able to give out multiple $500 scholarships to our students. We would not be able to support the students in this way without this continued support. Thank you for helping us provide highly skilled students for the workforce.
