Ballroom Dance in Boone

Hello Dancers, As most of you know, Andy passed away 6 months ago. I'm finally ready to face having a memorial for him. My family and I hope to have it on the 20th of this month at the Boone Advent Christian Church. All who want to come say goodbye are welcome. More details to follow.

Hello Dancers,
I'm sorry that I haven't posted for a while but I've decided to retire. Several months ago Andy was diagnosed with Parkinson's and now we're planning to move out of the state. I miss teaching dance and all of you but we are moving away. Keep dancing!

We will be having class in October! Beginning next Monday, October 12th, we will be resuming class! We'll be teaching beginning level Rhumba. Class size is very limited so I'd like to know ahead of time if you are thinking of coming. We will be wearing masks and keeping space between couples but there are breathing chairs where you can go and take your masks off for a few minutes. Class will be beginning at 7:30pm. We used to begin at 8 but, for the time being, we will start at 7:30. If you can use the downstairs door it would be appreciated.

This will be our first dance class in 6 months and we'll be having to wear masks so we've decided to charge only per session this month. The price will be $15 per couple per session.

We still can't meet at the dance studio but Chetola, in Blowing Rock, has offered us the use of their tent!! Our classes would be on Tuesday at 7pm (I think) but I still have to discuss this with them and look at the space available. If you are interested in getting back into the swing of dance class please let me know. It's about a 45 minute drive for us so we want to know ahead of time if we can get a group together.

we can't resume dance classes until phase 3 goes into effect. Has anyone heard anything about when that may be?

No dance class this month either. We have to continue to be patient and hope for next month! Meanwhile, keep practicing at home when you can and stay safe! Have a Happy Independence Day!

While we are still stuck at home there is a light on the horizon. We may be able to resume class on the 1st of June. I'm not sure if we'll be wearing masks and gloves but if we have to we will. I may be able to get back into private lessons by the 23rd....we'll have to wait and see.
