Wow! Thank you to the whole team who helped make our course happen. We’ll be highlighting many folks in posts to come but for now we are enjoying the hard work and creativity and learning taking place over the past two weeks which will translate to the same for our students.

App State Orff Level I Day 9: So much to capture here…the MOST creative recorder sharing, the classic Grizzly Bear with parachute added, beautiful sounds of the dulcimer with teaching from Mary Greene in special topics, and a picnic in a beautiful setting. App State Orff Level I Day 3: Learning through Spanish immersion with Dr. Dalia Razo an alum from our program! Do you have ML’s in your classroom? Level I of the Appalachian State Orff Schulwerk Teacher Education Course is underway and we have THE BEST group! Beginning teachers, experienced teachers, music education students, and master teachers mean days 1 and 2 were great!

When you choose App State Orff for your Levels training we will keep you busy with all of the Schulwerk- sing, say, move, play, create, build your skills and knowledge to take back and directly share them with your students. AND! You choose to also have a unique experience here in the Boone, NC mountains. Here are just a few of the places to see and experience. Summer 2026 is extra special because the music festival will take place on King Street and the surrounding areas! If you’re joining us this summer, WELCOME!
