From suspension design to team organization, his role has been invaluable to the teams growth and bringing Autumn to life. Last weekend, the team got the chance to show off Autumn and celebrate our 2026 American Solar Challenge win during App State Football home opener!

We loved tailgating beforehand and getting to tell our community about the team and what we do! A huge thank you to App State Athletics for this amazing opportunity, we appreciate all the support🥳

Ariana Jones ‘26 was the teams co-lead and one of our drivers over the last two years. From teaching to driving the car across the country, her work has been invaluable to the teams continued progress in the past few years. Focusing on the power systems of the car, she played a key role in the development and manufacturing of Autumn’s electrical system!

After graduating, Ariana now works with Southern Energy Management, a generous sponsor of the Team. We are so grateful for their support and commitment to the future of renewable energy, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for Ariana!

Edd Whynot ‘26 joined Team Sunergy after seeing ROSE on the way to class, and being a racing fan it immediately sparked his interest. Over the years, his role has varied from videography, graphic design, to livery design. His work has been crucial to displaying what we do to our supporters, alumni, and friends across the country! While we miss you around the shop, we can’t wait to see what all you go on to do🙌

Another successful club expo in the books! Thank you to everyone who came by and learned more about the team. As we settle into the new school year, we’re excited to see some new faces around the shop🫶

Our interest meetings will be held Thursday and Friday of next week (08/27-28) in the East Hall Conference Room at 5pm! We hope to see you all there🙌

🏆 1ST PLACE AMERICAN SOLAR CHALLENGE 🏆

WE DID IT! 💛☀️

Team Sunergy is officially the 1st place finisher at the Electrek American Solar Challenge!
After traveling 1,979 miles, we finished with a score of 92.717, earning the overall victory. This win is even more special because we are now the first team in MOV Class history to win the American Solar Challenge TWICE!

Five years of designing, building, testing, and countless late nights all led to this moment. Every challenge, every setback, and every mile was worth it. We couldn’t be more proud of this incredible team and everything we’ve accomplished together.
As if that wasn’t enough, Autumn also received the MOV Practicality Award, earning the highest ranking from judges as the vehicle most comparable to a standard production car.

Congratulations as well to Innoptus Solar Team on your SOV Class victory! 👏

And finally, a huge thank you to Éclipse - Véhicule solaire de l'ÉTS. Your support has helped make this achievement possible, and we truly couldn’t have done it without you. We are endlessly grateful to everyone who supported us and contributed to this moment 🫶☀️
