What an amazing weekend we had on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa at the 2025 Iowa State Thespian Festival! We had 20 students attend who competed, collaborated and learned! Its a fast paced 36 hours of all things theater!

This was our most successful festival under Troupe Director Jed Hammen’s tenure. We had 2 individual events qualify for the International Thespian Festival in June! Congrats again to Mags and Paxton on their achievements!

We also had another member of our troop selected to serve on the state student leadership board. This is the second student in Mr. Hammen’s time to earn this honor. Congrats to TJ on this amazing achievement as a sophomore.

Toreador Theater is alive and thriving and we are so proud of all of our troupe members! RollDors!

Congratulations to TJ on being selected to the Iowa State Student Thespian Board! TJ is the only sophomore to be selected to the board this year! He will begin his term January 1st! TJ completed a rigorous application process from attending leadership day this summer to writing essays, giving a presentation on his vision for the board, and a interview! We are so excited to have TJ represent us and do great things for Iowa Thespians!

It has become a staple to our program to do a service project each year with our musical! This year we partnered with the Toreador Food Pantry as so many are in need currently with all that is taking place! We collected items and cash at our shows and are volunteering at the pantry!

The pantry is still in need of donations if you would like to help please reach out to our director Jed Hammen as we are still excepting donations.

We are enjoy helping our community and giving back!
