That’s a wrap! Proud is an understatement to describe how we feel about our 2026 campers and the ensembles that performed today. Kudos to Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Symphony Band and Symphony Orchestra! We are sad camp is over, but happy for the experiences. It’s never goodbye, it’s ALWAYS see you later. Keep making music and growing!

Finale Concert I: Percussion Ensemble, Treble Choir, and String Orchestra - Thursday, July 9, 7:00 – 9:00pm
Finale Concert II: Jazz Vocal Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Wind Ensemble - Friday, July 10, 7:00 – 9:30pm
Finale Concert III: Chamber Singers and Concert Choir - Saturday, July 11, 10:00 – 11:30am
Finale Concert IV: Symphonic Band - Saturday, July 11, 12:00 – 1:00pm

💛 Camp Alumni Shoutout💛
Immense thanks and gratitude to Officer Cashae Cooke and the AppState Police Department for stopping by Cannon Music Camp this weekend on the July 4th holiday. Cashae is an MPO with AppState Police and was named Woman of the Year by the North Carolina Law Enforcement Women’s Association. Cashae is an AppState Alum, but also an Alum of Cannon Music Camp! She attended camp in 2009, playing the trombone. She is a true story of how Cannon Music Camp can change and influence lives. Music teaches more than just notes and rhythms, but teaches respect, diligence, compassion, and creativity, and that can apply to whatever next steps are in a child's life.
Again, thank you for stopping by and shooting some hoops with our campers, connecting with old friends, and keeping our community safe. We appreciate the hard work of our university partners. Mountaineers forever! 💛.

We had a weekend PACKED full of fun, food, friends, and of course music!
July 4th we celebrated 250 by showing off our red, white and blue, hanging with friends and of course with the annual CMC Talent Show. Congrats to everyone who performed Saturday night! 🎶
Yesterday we had the annual camp picnic with help from AppState Dining and Grandview Catering! Thank you both for the yummy food we got to enjoy with friends! 🍔

Tonight we were pleased to feature 13 solo pianists from our camp piano studio, one guitar soloist, and the guitar ensemble from our 58th season of Cannon Music Camp in our annual piano and guitar evening. It is important to us to have a night for our pianists and guitarists to be featured as they are not always in large ensembles. It takes a lot of courage to play solo in front of 180 people you just met two weeks ago so we applaud each of you! Congratulations to everyone for your hard work preparing your performances this evening!

This afternoon we were pleased to feature 9 soloists from our 58th season of Cannon Music Camp in our Honors Recital II. Congratulations to Bennett, Sofia, Elijah, Xavion, Josue, Claire, Omari Ru, Omari Ro, and Ella! Way to go! Outstanding solo performances by all!
