When does caring become over-caring?
Most of us came to massage & bodywork because we care deeply about people. That caring is a real strength, and sometimes, without realizing it, caring can become over-responsibility feeling like we need to fix, help, rescue, or make sure the client gets a certain result.
I've become very interested in recent years in how these patterns quietly shape the therapeutic relationship.
One question I keep return to is:
Can I care deeply without taking responsibility for another person's healing?
I'll be exploring this relationship along with other archetypal roles that may influence our work as massage therapists in my Archetypes & Ethics CE course this Sunday.
September 20 | 10 AM - 1 PM | Live on Zoom | 3 CE hours (Ethics)
