App State named a top 5 school nationally for service members, veterans for 2025 — Military Times App State has been recognized among the nation’s top higher education institutions for military service members and veterans, ranking as a top five school named to Military Times’ 2025 “Best for Vets: Colleges” rankings list.

Today’s App State Student Veteran of the Game is Christian Reese. Christian is a junior studying physics with a concentration in secondary education. He has served in the United States Army for seven years as a Combat Medic and has deployed to Kosovo.

Today we delivered snacks donated by our local Wilmington alums to Student Veteran Services of Appalachian State University for their “Build Your Own Care Package” event during exam week!

Today’s App State Student Veteran of the Game is Jack Sullivan. Jack is a sophomore studying Finance and Banking with a Business Analytics minor at Appalachian State University. He served four years in the U.S. Army as a Forward Observer and was deployed to Syria.
