This week at Page and Lincoln...
-our TK friends explored under the sea and painted some sharks
-the Kindergarten enjoyed the rainy weather with a cool magic trick: turning white crayon visible with watercolors
-1st graders celebrated the fall season by painting trees with warm colors

Recently at Page and Lincoln, our kindergartners learned about the artwork of Paul Klee while our 1st graders created space using boats!

This week in art: kinders made Truffula trees while our TK friends explored paper mache!

Happy Valentine's Day! This week in art, our kindergarten painted hearts to make a tree while our 1st graders learned about Andy Warhol's pop art - naturally themeing their paintings for the upcoming holiday.

Time flies when you're making art! Attention families: your students will have an art folder coming home around conference time with all the artwork they've been making here at Page and Lincoln! Their beautiful works have been filling our halls with color and cheer during this coldest time of the year. While every class has gotten the chance to make a quilt, our kinders have made wonderland trees and learned about owls while our 1st graders have done colorful designs based on stained glass windows and explored complementary colors.

Last week in art, our little toreadors explored art from around the world! The Kindergarten got to see vases from Greece and Africa while making sunflowers to go with them. The 1st grade explored the painting style of Australian dot art!

This week in art... the kindergarteners are making Starry Night castles with our first use of oil pastels!

Wow does the time fly when we're having fun in art! Over the last few weeks, our friends at Page and Lincoln have put together a few collaboration part projects where students colored a square with our cool colors to recreate Monet's Water Lilly Pond. In addition to that, our 1st grade has done some fine weavings and tree paintings while our Kindergarten has created some colorful goats and trolls for the 3 Billy Goats Gruff - fun idea: ask your Kinders to tell the story with their artwork!

This week in art, the Kindergarten are making hungry caterpillars! Students can see them throughout the halls when they walk to lunch or recess.

Welcome back students! The last week and a half of art, we have been working hard decorating portfolios to store our work in. The 1st grade even learned to paint with markers! This will be a great year.
