We love to read, discuss, create, and collaborate in our family-style school. Homeschool parents worry so much about what bullet points each curriculum teaches that they often fail to realize that learning together is the real teacher. The process of researching, analyzing, discussing, and evaluating ideas IS learning. Teach kids how to learn, and everything else falls into place.

Best deal I've ever seen on the Usborne Science Encyclopedia! This is one of the spines we recommend to accompany Layers of Learning. Families use the spine as a backup for any science topic when they don't have time to get to the library for a topic. The Library Lists at the beginning of each unit include what pages to use in each spine. Super handy!
