4-H Friday Friends

Educational and fun Friday program during the school year for K-5th graders. Program hours are 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM at BCMS.

Please call the Boundary County Extension Office at 208-267-3235 for more details. 4-H Friday Friends is a day youth program for kindergarten through 5th grade. The day is filled with hands on activities that center around math, science, reading, writing, healthy living, and arts & crafts. We also have open gym, outside time, and play games to ensure physical health. We offer a nutritious morning

and afternoon snack, but kids bring a sack lunch. We meet at the Boundary County Middle School during the school year calendar, see below for the list of Fridays. Hours are 7:30 am- 5:30 pm and is drop in, so your kiddos can join for any or all Fridays! Our fee is $15 per child per day, however we do offer a sliding pay scale. Registration paperwork and pay plan can be obtained at the Boundary County Extension Office at 6791 Main Street, Suite B. Dates: First Semester

We have two open positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
4-H Friday Friends Program Coordinator: It is a part-time position (18 hours/week) and pays $15.00/hr. The coordinator works 10 hours on Friday, with the other 8 hours being flexible. The last one!
We ended this school year’s 4-H Friday Friends with a field trip to the library. Ms.Teri and Ms.Amy showed us all the cool gadgets in the fab lab and how to find all the books to read this summer.
Then we walked to the fairgrounds for a picnic lunch and play time on the playground.

We had a great time getting to hang out with these kids. Thank you to all our volunteers and visitors for helping to make this year of Friday Friends a success. We look forward to seeing everyone in the fall. Have a great summer!

Fun field day! Foot races, silly races, long jump, and a water fight. We also made some fun things with our Master Gardener friend Erik. It was a pretty great day!

* Note if you are a parent that received a lovely bag. The instructions recommend ironing the bag to lock in the color. Be sure to iron first if you decide to wash.
