We had lots of creativity flowing at Friday Friends this week!

We spent the morning working our way through some fall and Halloween craft stations, then let the kids take the lead during Imagination Station! It’s always so neat to see what they come up with when given the freedom to create whatever they want. We ended our afternoon with popcorn and Monsters, Inc., which everyone really enjoyed.

A special thank you to Michele Buster for donating all of the fall and Halloween crafts for us to enjoy! We appreciate you thinking of our Friday Friends and supporting our program!

Fall fun is in full swing!

Kids in Kindergarten-5th grade can join us Friday, October 9th from 7:30am-5:30pm for crafts, games, outside play, and plenty of fun!

Later in the afternoon, we’ll settle in with popcorn and watch Monsters, Inc.!

The cost is $15 and two snacks are provided. Just pack a lunch and make sure to dress warm for the weather, as we’ll be spending time outside!

Registration paperwork and payment can be taken care of at the door.

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming U.S. Marine Mitchell Moseley as our guest speaker! The kids really enjoyed hearing from him, learning about his time in the Marines, and getting the chance to ask him lots of questions.

Afterward, the kids got moving with our Boot Camp Obstacle Course! We also spent some time making Thank You for Your Service cards that I will be delivering to our local VFW to share with veterans in our community. And of course, we couldn’t end the day without getting a little messy making some slime!

A special thank you to Mitchell for taking the time to come spend the morning with us and sharing a little bit of your story with the kids!

Kids in Kindergarten-5th grade can join us Friday, October 2nd from 7:30am-5:30pm. We’ll have a special visit from U.S. Marine Mitchell Moseley, take on a Boot Camp Obstacle Course, make thank-you cards for veterans, create slime, and more!

The cost is $15 and two snacks are provided. Just pack a lunch and dress for the weather!

We had another great day at Friday Friends this week! Our day was all about communication and the kids had so much fun learning about the different ways we can send and share messages.

We learned about Morse code and put our new skills to the test by creating and decoding our own secret messages. They also made bracelets, built cup phones to experiment with how sound travels, and made their way through our “laser” course. This was definitely one of the biggest hits of the day!

We ended our Friday with a fun game of charades and lots of laughs. Another busy, fun-filled day in the books!

This week at 4-H Friday Friends, we’re going undercover!

Kids in Kindergarten–5th grade can join us Friday, September 25th from 7:30am–5:30pm for Morse code, STEM challenges, games, and more!

We were wild about birds this week at Friday Friends! 🦉

We started our day with a field trip to the library, where we learned all about birds of prey through a fun presentation and got to craft our own little owls!

After returning to the school, we headed outside to gather natural materials and put our skills to the test by building our very own bird nests.

It was a fun and educational day filled with curiosity, creativity and a love for nature! We can’t wait to see what next Friday brings!

Just a quick update for tomorrow’s field trip!
If your child will be joining us for our trip to the Boundary County Library, they will need to be dropped off by 9:00am. The SPOT Bus will be leaving at 9:30am.

If your child is not attending the field trip, the next drop-off time will be at 12:00pm when we return to the middle school.

See you all tomorrow!

Hello Friends!

We have another fun Friday planned, and this week we’re heading out on a field trip to the Boundary County Library for a special Birds of Prey presentation!

We will begin leaving the middle school at 9:30am on the SPOT Bus, a free transportation service, and plan to arrive back at the middle school around 12:00pm.

Please note: We will NOT be at the middle school between 9:30am–12:00pm, so there will be no drop-offs during this time. If your child would like to join us on the field trip, please make sure they arrive before 9:30am.

A permission slip is required for every child attending the field trip. Permission slips can be filled out at the door Friday morning. If a permission slip is not completed, your child will not be able to attend the field trip.

After we get back, we have a whole afternoon of nature-themed fun planned! Check out our schedule below, dress for the weather, pack a lunch and we’ll see you Friday!
