FAMILY ENGAGEMENT NIGHT THIS WEDNESDAY!

BCMS families, mark your calendars! 🇺🇸
We’re excited to host our first Family Engagement Night on Wednesday, September 16, from 5:00–7:00 PM.

Come spend the evening with us as we kick off our Celebrating America theme and bring students, families, teachers, and our community together. Families will have a chance to:

🎯 Complete fun Bingo challenges
🏫 Learn more about our school
🐾 Pick up some new BCMS Badger swag
🍪 Enjoy treats along the way

There’s no formal program or presentation—just come by, participate, connect, and enjoy the evening together.

🚸🎒 BACK-TO-SCHOOL TRAFFIC SAFETY REMINDER! 🚌📚✨

School starts next Tuesday, and that means our streets will once again be busy with students walking 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️, biking 🚲, riding buses 🚌, and being dropped off 🚗 around our schools.

The Bonners Ferry Police Department is reminding everyone about an important school-zone change on Main Street/Highway 95 between Cody Street and McCall Street:

🚦 School Zone Speed Limit: Reduced from 35 MPH ➡️ 25 MPH
⏰ Flashing Lights: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
👮‍♂️🚓 Extra Patrols: Officers will be in the area helping enforce the reduced speed limit and keep students safe.

👀 Stay alert.
📵 Put the phone down.
🛑 Watch for students and buses.
🐢 Slow down and give yourself a little extra time.

A few extra seconds of patience can make a BIG difference in keeping our kids safe. 💙💛

⚡ UPDATE FROM BCMS! ⚡

Well… Mother Nature certainly made our Open House memorable! 😅 A county-wide power outage threw a pretty big wrench into our plans, but the Badgers are rolling with it! 🦡💪

🏫 BCMS will be open tomorrow from 7:30 AM–4:30 PM to:
📄 Hand out enrollment packets
✅ Accept completed packets
📚 Share student schedules for families who turn in their packets
🔐 Give students a chance to try out their lockers — and even decorate the inside a little if they’d like! 🎉

Can’t make it tomorrow? No worries! We’ll work hard on our first day of school next week—Tuesday, September 8—to get everyone caught up and ready to go.

Thanks for your patience, flexibility, and good humor through an unexpected evening. We’re excited to get everyone back in the building—with the lights on this time! 💡😂

It’s going to be a phenomenal year!

📣 IMPORTANT OPEN HOUSE UPDATE

Just to make sure everyone has the correct information: BCMS Open House is Thursday, September 3, from 4:00–7:00 PM for ALL grades—including 6th grade.

Some families may have received information at the end of last school year listing a different day and time for 6th grade. That information has changed. Please plan on joining us Thursday, September 3, between 4:00 and 7:00 PM.
