NCMS is proud to recognize Mrs. Plyler this for her outstanding work with the NCMS Band, Honors Band, and Jazz Band programs. Through performances in parades, community concerts, and middle school pep assemblies, she consistently showcases the musical talents of her students and represents our school with excellence. Emily also works closely with both the Intermediate Band and the High School program, helping to build a strong musical foundation while ensuring continued growth and success at the next level. Her efforts contribute not only to school spirit, but also to achievements in competitions, community events, and state-level recognition.

Mrs. Plyler has created a structured, engaging, and highly effective learning environment where all students are set up for success. Her band room is a model of organization and classroom management—from arrival and warm-ups to instruction and performance, every student is actively engaged and working toward excellence. She fosters confidence, discipline, and pride in her students, providing them with meaningful opportunities to grow and showcase their musical abilities. Mrs. Plyler’s dedication and commitment have made a lasting impact on her students and the entire NCMS community, and we are grateful for all she does to support the NCSD band program!
