Hi Bulldogs Family and Friends,
We understand and share your concerns about the heat advisory across San Diego County and the scheduled Fun Run. The safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priorities, and we are taking the current weather conditions seriously. We are working closely with our principal, Dr. Arancibia, and Ultra Fun Run organizer Mark to monitor the situation and ensure that appropriate safety measures are in place throughout the event.
With Dr. Arancibia’s guidance, we have made adjustments to help students participate safely and comfortably. Students are encouraged to walk instead of run, and running is not required. They may walk at their own pace and can take breaks whenever needed. Students will also have the opportunity to rest and sit in shaded areas during the event.
We will remind students to stay hydrated and will provide water throughout the Fun Run. Staff will continue encouraging students to, take breaks, and use the available shaded areas as needed.
Our goal is to support student participation while making sure everyone remains as comfortable and safe as possible. Dr. Arancibia will continue monitoring the weather conditions for the rest of the day.
We will continue to evaluate conditions and make adjustments as necessary. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work together to keep our Students safe during the heat advisory.
