It may be the first week of summer, but our Dean of Curriculum, Mrs. Crotts, has been stacking shipments of books for weeks and weeks! Building the foundation for another great school year, one textbook at a time! 💙🌊
(There’s a LOT more than this, but let’s enjoy summer for a little before we think about school work again…)

Another day, another graduation ceremony! Today we celebrate our 5th graders as they officially move up into middle school! What a joy it has been to watch them grow in knowledge, character, and faith.
As they step into this exciting new chapter, we pray they continue to walk confidently in the plans God has prepared for them. We are so proud of each and every one of them!

From front door greetings to car line good-byes, emails in your inbox or scrolling on social media (oh hey, it's me!) If you know GCA, you know Mrs. Evans. Here's a Q&A from our recent newsletter.
Q: What kind of student were you in school?
A: I was a pretty good student. I didn't realize until having my own children in school how easy I had it! I never really had to study and my grades were high. I was quiet, got along with everyone, didn't play any sports. After graduating I went to school for Sports, Entertainment and Event Management. Even though I didn't pursue a degree in that field, I feel like the experience I received has helped me develop lots of multifaceted skills!
Q: What's your favorite way to build relationships with students?
A: It's a blessing that I get to know each and every student and their families because of my position. The opportunity to greet them at the door in the morning or see them off at car line helps a lot. I love joking around with the kids, laughter is one of my love languages. It's fun getting to "relate" to the middle schoolers when I mention something that's "trendy or viral" right now, reminding them even though I'm an adult, I'm still kinda cool.
Q: What's a recent way you have seen God work through you to help students at GCA?
A: Not necessarily recently, but daily, is my servant heart. Another one of my love languages is acts of service, so it brings me lots of joy to be helpful. It also helps foster a relationship of trust with the kids. I want them to know that I am there to help them with whatever they need, whenever they need it.
Q: What scripture has God been using to help you grow in this season?
A: The verse of my life lately has been Matthew 6:33-34, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." This verse encourages me to stay focused on God's righteousness and all worldly needs will be met. Today has its own challenges. Being anxious about what lies ahead distracts you from living fully in the present. "Let go and let God"!

This morning, our eighth graders crossed the stage as graduates of Grace Classical Academy, ready to step into the future with faith, wisdom, and courage. It has been a joy to watch them grow academically, spiritually, and personally, and we cannot wait to see where God leads them next!
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” — Jeremiah 29:11
Congratulations, graduates! Your journey is just beginning, and we are praying for God’s blessings over every step ahead. 💙🌊

Some teachers leave a classroom… but never leave the hearts of their students.
During Friday assembly we honored Mrs. Hartley and the incredible impact she has made over 10+ years at our school. Pictured here are all of the current students who were blessed to have her as their teacher through the years. A beautiful reminder of the countless lives she has shaped with patience, kindness, wisdom, and love.
Thursday 5/21 beginning at 11:30 we will be having an open house style celebration if you would like to pop in and fellowship with Mrs. Hartley, friends, and GCA family.
Thank you, Mrs. Hartley, for pouring into generations of students and pointing them toward truth each day. Your legacy will continue far beyond these classroom walls! 💙🌊
