Meet Leah George, our Student, Parent and Staff Support Coordinator at Grace Fellowship Christian Academy! 💙

We are so thankful for the heart, dedication, and unique gifts each member of our GFCA team brings to our school. Today, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Mrs. Leah and give you a chance to get to know her a little better!

💙 How long have you been a part of GFCA?
I started as helping supervise for after school duty when GFCA was the home school education program, and this year is starting my 4th consecutive year at GFCA.

✨ What is your favorite thing about working at GFCA?
I love that GFCA staff is one big family! Watching the transformation over the years of staff, and students has been the greatest joy, even in my life personally. Jesus is lifted high and exalted in this place. Gods presence is known and felt here.

🌟What is a fun fact, hobby, or something special you would like our GFCA families to know about?
I love Jesus, my husband, and my kids! I love beach days and I love to travel.

The environment. You won’t find another work environment so saturated with God‘s presence like GFCA.

I have a soft spot for babies and will probably show you pictures of mine within five minutes of meeting you 🤣

This is my first year.

✨ What is your favorite thing about working at GFCA?
The atmosphere of being able to feel the presence of God in every class and hallway. Also the team work and compassion of every teacher and staff here at GFCA.

🌟What is a fun fact, hobby, or something special you would like our GFCA families to know about?
I had my nose broke with a ping-pong paddle when I was five. I love hunting and fishing. My family is my world and we enjoy going hiking and traveling together.

Meet Lindsey Goodman, our 5th through 9th ELA Teacher at Grace Fellowship Christian Academy! 💙

💙 How long have you been a part of GFCA?
I have had the privilege of working at GFCA for 3 years.

✨ What is your favorite thing about working at GFCA?
My favorite part of working at GFCA is I’m able to help students develop their voices and to understand how much power our words hold outside the classroom. The Lord is using me to help shape their testimonies.

🌟What is a fun fact, hobby, or something special you would like our GFCA families to know about you?
Something special about me is I try to be the teacher I wish I had when I was their age. I know that students may walk into a classroom carrying things no one else knows about. That does not mean I lower my expectations. It means I help them grow toward the Lord in any way I can. My students are my babies. Grades are important, but their salvation is and always will be the most important knowledge they carry. ❤️

Just started my fifth year.

✨ What is your favorite thing about working at GFCA?
The atmosphere. God is at the heart of everything we do, and if He needs to invade our time, we have liberty here to experience His presence.

🌟What is a fun fact, hobby, or something special you would like our GFCA families to know about you?
I am a seven brew hog! It’s one of my favorite places to stop for coffee and flavored teas. And I love to go hiking!

💙 How long have you been a part of GFCA?
Last year part-time and this year full-time!

✨ What is your favorite thing about working at GFCA?
My favorite thing is that we are encouraged and empowered to share the gospel. I am thankful for the freedom to share my faith and I’m truly thankful at GFCA that we can put Jesus in the forefront of all we do here.

🌟What is a fun fact, hobby, or something special you would like our GFCA families to know about you?
My fun fact is that when you look at me, you may think I’m somewhat reserved and quiet. But the truth is, I am actually very quirky and love to laugh and have a great sense of humor. I also love to get lost in worship to the Lord in complete freedom. Getting to be creative and expresse the fun side of me through ARTFUL expressions including flags and worship bring me great joy. We get to create because HE created. Getting to build fun moments is also a very real part of who I am, like when volunteering at rodeo concessions. GFCC HERE TO SERVE! 🤠 ❤️ Mrs Kylie

Yesterday we ended a fantastic FriYaY! One of our very own kindergarteners, Brycen, brought teachers and staff yummy fruit 🍓 🫐 🍊 and breakfast 🥹
First Federal Bank brought GFCA sausage biscuits! Our staff this week was also given photography gift certificates from one of our parents who does professional photography 📸 Pastor Jerrod and Pastor Kerri from Grace Fellowship Christian Church had Gael Hernandez, a MSM student, make individual chocolate cakes for everyone! 🍰 Mrs Tyra and Mrs Lindsey won the drawing for gifts! It was a wonderful week to celebrate our staff and teachers. This week they were showered with love, but we really truly hope that they know how much we really appreciate our teachers! GFCA wouldn’t be the school it is without each of you!
