It's the last week of school! I thought I'd send us all off into summer with Gershwin's timeless blend of classical music with sultry jazz, the famous Rhapsody in Blue.

The clarinet solo in the opening is fantastic. The clarinetist slides his fingers off of the open keys, one at a time, to create that unforgettable slide. In comes the trombone countermelody. And congratulations to 𝐀𝐋𝐋 of the students who competed this weekend—I heard some fantastic playing coming out of the studios last week!!
