What a GREAT first day at Finley-Oates! Our halls were full of smiles, excitement, learning and lots of little Warriors ready for an amazing year! 📚 ✏️

😊Bring your PATIENCE. Expect and plan for the lines to take a long time at the beginning of the year...it will get faster as people learn the routine. Our goal is to ensure every child gets to and from school safely and it takes longer in the beginning to ensure that happens, but it is worth the extra time. So, bring your patience and compassion with you to the car line...we appreciate your help in keeping our students safe.
❗❗1st Day of School Information ❗❗
🏫 Morning Drop-off for 1st Day Only- Parents/guardians may walk students to class on the first day of school. After the first day, we will follow normal drop-off procedures of everyone being dropped off either one of the two car lines. You can drop off any grade in either lane. Dismissal has set lines.
📷We will take 1st Day Class Pictures with our big Welcome Back yard sign and post to FB so parents/guardians can see and have access to share or print.
🥞 Breakfast and lunch is FREE to every child. School starts at 7:40 a.m. Students are tardy & must report to the front office if arriving after 7:45 a.m. See the graphic below for First Day Breakfast procedures for each grade level.
🚗Car riders will dismiss at 3:10. Kinder/older siblings & TSS on the West side of the building. 1st and 2nd grade on the North side of the building. Must Display car PICK UP TAG.
PINK = Kinder/TSS pick up line (west side of building)
GREEN= 1st and 2nd pick up line (north side of building)
🚌Bus students will dismiss at 3:45 p.m.

🍎🥞Breakfast is being served in the cafeteria this year so parents can walk their kids to the classroom to drop students off and get pictures and then drop your student off at the cafeteria to as you leave. Kindergartners will go straight to class and be taken down to eat after announcements...we will do this until they get the hang of how the cafeteria works.
🚗🚌Car lines are always long and SLOW for the first day or two, especially at dismissal. As the students get into a routine, we learn all of our new students and dismissal people memorize car/kid combos it gets much quicker...we promise! Our number one priority is that every child gets home safely and correctly. If it takes extra time to double check something to ensure that happens...we will do it everytime. Please allow plenty of extra time and bring your patience and positive attittudes with you so everyone has a great day!
