Disaster Preparation!
The Atlantic hurricane season typically lasts from June 1 through November 30. During this time tropical depressions, tropical storms, and hurricanes can bring heavy rain, strong winds, powerful storm surges, and flooding to the state. Being prepared for storms and other catastrophic emergencies can save lives. By evaluating your own personal needs and making an emergency plan that fits those needs, you and your loved ones can be better prepared.

There is the potential for hazardous weather in our area this week.

If in-person instruction is canceled, we will have a virtual instruction day, so students need to be prepared to be in class online at the normal time.

When Columbus County Schools makes a decision to delay, cancel, or release in-person school early, we use the following outlets to spread the message, in this order. Please make sure you monitor multiple outlets regularly to ensure getting important information in a timely manner:

Robeson County Government offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Regular operating office hours will resume on Friday, September 1, 2023.
