📢 BCS Families – SchoolCafé vs. SchoolCash Online

With the introduction of SchoolCash Online, we wanted to share a quick clarification to help families understand the difference between the two systems.

💚 SchoolCafé – Child Nutrition
SchoolCafé is used by the BCS Child Nutrition Department. Families can use SchoolCafé to:
• View breakfast and lunch menus
• Add money to a student's cafeteria account
• View cafeteria account information

🍎 Remember, all breakfast and lunch meals are FREE for BCS students! Money added through SchoolCafé is available for students who would like to purchase à la carte items or extras in the cafeteria.

💻 SchoolCash Online – School Payments
SchoolCash Online is the new BCS system for making school-related payments and fees.

Since these are two separate systems, payments made through SchoolCash Online will not be added to your student's SchoolCafé cafeteria account.

📣 Our Final Week of Meals To Go is Coming Up! 🍎📦

We’re getting the word out early because we have just TWO pick-up days remaining this summer!

📦 Thursday, August 13 — FINAL 3-Day Meal Pick-Up
📦 Monday, August 17 — FINAL 7-Day Meal Pick-Up

For Monday’s pick-up, families will have TWO box options to choose from:

🧊 NEW Tasty Brands Frozen Box — We’re excited to offer a brand-new box with lots of different breakfast and lunch items! Check out the attached menu to see everything included.

🥫 Shelf-Stable Box — Families can also choose our shelf-stable option if that works better for you.

📢 SUMMER MEALS UPDATE — WE’RE EXTENDING 7-DAY MEAL DISTRIBUTION! ☀️🍎

Great news! We are extending our 7-Day Meals To Go distribution for one additional week!

Our final distribution will be:

📅 Monday, August 17
⏰ 1:00–3:00 PM
📍 Town Creek Middle School
📍 South Brunswick High School
📍 West Brunswick High School

🧊 A little update about our boxes...

Families may see frozen boxes more than one week in a row during our remaining distributions. We are also planning to test out a NEW frozen box and would love to hear what our families think! Your feedback will help us as we plan and make improvements for future summer meal programs.

Our Brunswick County Schools Child Nutrition team is spending the next five days at the ANC Conference in Charlotte, NC, learning from industry leaders, exploring new ideas, and connecting with school nutrition professionals from across the state.

We are excited to bring back fresh ideas, new strategies, and innovative practices that will help us continue growing and strengthening the Brunswick County Schools Child Nutrition Department. All with the goal of serving our students even better.
