Tomorrow we wrap up an AMAZING first week of school—and you know what that means… FRIDAY MORNING DANCE PARTIES ARE BACK!

It’s one of our favorite VWES traditions: Every Friday morning, WE DANCE! 🕺💃

The music starts PROMPTLY after the bell, so get those Stingrays to school on time—you don’t want them to miss the fun!

Hey VWES Families!

This is Principal Futrell, and welcome to the official season premiere of Previously on VWES!

The classrooms are ready, the teachers are excited, and after a summer of preparing, planning, and building… there’s just one thing missing — our Stingrays!

That changes tomorrow!

We are SO excited to officially welcome our students back to Virginia Williamson Elementary for the first week of the 2026–2027 school year!

As we kick off the year, here are a few things to know:

📚 First Day: Monday, August 24th!

🚪 Morning Arrival: Our doors open at 8:10 a.m., and instruction begins at 8:35 a.m. Please help us start strong by having students arrive on time and ready for a great day.

🚌 Transportation: The first few days of school always take a little extra time as everyone learns new routines. We appreciate your patience with arrival and dismissal as we work to get every Stingray safely where they need to be.

💜 Kindergarten Families: Remember, our kindergarten students will begin the year on a staggered schedule. We can’t wait to welcome our newest Stingrays into the family!

And families, this week is all about new beginnings — new classrooms, new teachers, new friendships, and a brand-new opportunity to grow.

We’re ready. Our teachers are ready. And we hope our Stingrays are ready, because the 2026–2027 season of VWES officially begins tomorrow!

Thank you for trusting us with your kiddos and partnering with us for what we know will be an incredible year.
