I have reserved the first pavillion at Dunnegan Park for our Studio Picnic for Thursday, August 15 from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
Like years past, everyone bring a dish to share. I will fix barbeque pork and bring buns and bottled water, plates and napkins.
Feel free to post in the comments what you plan to bring.
Even if your student(s) did not take lessons over the summer (or all summer), please come and participate. This is a fun, laid back, get to know others in the studio and a less stress performance for the students. I will bring my keyboard and the students can play pieces as they would like.

Studio picnic was tonight. Small group (I didn't pick the best night - plus it was the hottest night of the summer so far! But those who were able to come enjoyed a meal together and the kids played for each other and I think it was enjoyable (other than the heat!)

I have reserved the first pavillion at Dunnegan park for Monday August 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. for our studio picnic. Even students who did not take lessons during all or part of the summer are welcome to attend and to perform.
I won't be able to be there until close to 6 with Monday lessons but you are welcome to arrive and let your children play prior to then!
As in the past, we will potluck our meal. We will plan to eat 6 or so. I may bring barbequed pork like last year though I also found a chicken recipe that sounds good for putting in tortillas or whatever.... I will also bring plates, napkins, plastic silverware and some bottled water. Others can feel free to bring bottled water, soft drinks or lemonade/iced tea also.
After we eat, the students can play for each other. I will pick the student to go first and last. There will be no program - just go as you'd like. We've had students play more than once and that's ok. This is a very low stress opportunity to perform! And the students really seem to enjoy it! Memorization is NOT required!
If you would, please let me know 1) how many from your family will be in attendance and 2) what you plan to bring. The latter helps me with the "What do you need me to bring?" questions.
