🏥 Mega Shadow Day at Citizens Memorial Hospital! 🩺

What an incredible day of hands-on learning for our Bolivar High School Health Occupations II seniors!

CMH organized an immersive, all-day Mega Shadow Day, giving our students the opportunity to explore eight different areas of the hospital and learn directly from healthcare professionals:

🔹 Radiology
🔹 Med-Surg
🔹 ICU/PCU
🔹 Birth Place
🔹 Pharmacy
🔹 Emergency Room
🔹 Respiratory Therapy
🔹 Laboratory

Our students saw the many different career opportunities available in healthcare, asked questions, observed professionals in their work environments, and gained a better understanding of what it takes to work in each area.

A HUGE thank you to Stefanie Putman for organizing such an incredible experience for our students and to all of the CMH professionals who welcomed our students, shared their expertise, and gave them the opportunity to experience healthcare beyond the classroom.

Experiences like this are exactly why strong school-community partnerships matter. We are so grateful for CMH's continued investment in our students and in the future healthcare workforce of our community! ❤️💙💛

45 new students. 27 community partners. One incredible network of opportunity. 💙💛

BoMo Works is experiencing record growth, and we couldn’t be more excited about what is happening for our students!

💛 25 ACTIVE INTERNS
🤝 27 COMMUNITY & EMPLOYER PARTNERS

That means 45 new students are currently gaining real-world work experience through BoMo Works this school year!

And these numbers are JUST school-year-to-date. They don’t even include former graduates who are continuing to work through our employer partnerships.

Behind every number is a student gaining experience, building skills, making connections, earning money, and exploring what their future could look like.

This is what can happen when schools, students, employers, and our community come together to create meaningful opportunities.

20 apprentices. 25 interns. 27 partners. 45 students.

And we’re just getting started. 🚀

We are excited to celebrate the second year of the CMH Summer Internship Program in partnership with CMH and BoMo Works! 💛💙

This incredible opportunity provides 10 Bolivar students entering 10th and 11th grade with paid internships that allow them to explore multiple areas within the hospital through two unique tracks: Patient Services and Business Operations. Students gain valuable real-world experience while learning directly from healthcare professionals and industry leaders.
