After nearly 18 years in our current Furqaan Academy Bolingbrook building, the land right next to our school became available is officially UNDER CONTRACT with us!

This 1-acre expansion gives us the incredible opportunity to build a 3-floor, 80,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility to serve our students and future generations. But we don't have much time.

We must pay $399,000 by November 15 to secure the property.

Every donation counts toward building a brighter future for our children and securing a lasting Sadaqah Jariyah.

📜 A lot of us grow up learning the names of famous scientists, but not always the Muslim scholars whose work helped shape the same fields.

Ibn al-Haytham was one of those people. He studied how vision actually works, tested his ideas through experiments, and wrote extensively about light, reflection, refraction, mathematics, and astronomy. His work continued to be studied for centuries after him.

What makes a civilization rise, and what eventually causes it to fall?

More than 600 years ago, Ibn Khaldun was already asking questions like this. Through his study of history, society, power, and human behavior, he developed ideas that were centuries ahead of their time including asabiyyah, the social bonds that hold communities together.

His efforts and legacy are reminders of just how much Muslim scholars have contributed to the way we understand the world today.

Had you heard of Ibn Khaldun before? Tell us in the comments 👇 and share this post with someone who would appreciate learning more about Muslim history. 🤎

An Islamic education should prepare students not only for the classroom, but for the challenges, responsibilities, and choices they’ll face throughout life. 🌱📚

🏫🍎 At Furqaan Academy Bolingbrook, we believe students need more than academic knowledge. They need the confidence to hold onto their faith, the courage to stand up for what is right, the wisdom to care for their well-being, an awareness of the Hereafter, and the ability to make responsible decisions through an Islamic lens.

Which of these 5 lessons do you think is most important for Muslim students today? Tell us in the comments. 👇
