When a team seeks Consent for Assessment, they are asking for written, informed consent to conduct assessments as part of an evaluation or reevaluation. Consent for Assessment must always be sought when an evaluation team is administering one or more new assessments. However, some types of information or situations do not require consent. This Quick Guide will answer the following questions:
- When is Consent for Assessment required and not required?
- When do we document Internal Assessment or External Documentation?

Meet Cari Murphy! Cari is the Associate director of the Center on Disabilities and Human Development at the University of Idaho. She is also the director of the Idaho Training Clearinghouse which partners with Idaho SESTA in providing online training resources. At work, she enjoys Using technology, data, and creative thinking to solve problems and bring forth solutions that assist and enhance the work of others.

Meet Lena Farbitnikov! Lena is the SESTA Administrative Assistant II at the BSU SESTA office in Boise. At work she enjoys the diversity of tasks, the unexpected challenges and keeping things organized and running smoothly. She enjoys working with the SESTA team and says they feel more like family than co-workers. For fun she enjoys traveling and exploring nature with her family & photography.

Lena grew up in California and moved to Idaho in 2019. She has always loved working with youth. For 6 years she was a Program Leader at an after-school program. She has her associates degree in Visual Communication which helped to pursue her love for creative design and photography. Lena has an identical twin sister but they have complete opposite interests and personalities.
