LOVE having the kiddos out of school......
Oh what a fun Halloween we had! Here are a couple of pictures from the school costume parade :)
We "Walked our Socks Off" this morning walking to school. So fun to join the school kiddos kicking off their fundrun!
Neat to share with parents.
[10/05/17] So, we have one more day of our 3 day break left and tomorrow we are off to the library for a puppet show. Hopefully, it will be just as much fun as the past couple of days have been!
Nature wreaths made with the treasures we found at the park this morning.....
What a great day to spend some time outdoors.....
[10/05/17] Well, our comfy-cozy day was so much fun! I think I speak for all of us when I say, "Let's do it again!" :) But, we have even more fun planned for tomorrow......A nature walk/scavenger hunt and a picnic in the park. Please make sure all of your little ones dress warmly and bring a coat as we will be outside for a while.
Our comfy-cozy day has been great so far......
[10/03/17] Well, we have been back in school just over a month now and are settling into our new routines. The school kiddos have been working hard and the toddlers have been playing just as hard. We are all ready for a little break. Thankfully, we are on the eve of a glorious 3 day break and we have some fun things planned! Tomorrow (Wednesday) we are having a comfy-cozy day. We will be hanging out in our jammies, watching movies and doing some fun fall crafts. Bring on the rain....you won't dampen our spirits! 🎃
And we are off to our first FULL day of school!
Reminder : We leave for school at 8:45 AM (returning just after 9:00 AM) and pick up from school at 3:40 PM (returning just after 4:00 PM) please adjust your drop off and pick up times accordingly. :)
Oh to see the eclipse through the eyes of little ones.....they noticed how it looked like just about "bedtime" and how "chilly it got, how our chickens started to roost and how the birds got so quiet. As soon as it started getting lighter how busy the birds started getting again. All they kept saying was "this is so WEIRD!"
So how are you viewing the ellipse today?
What a great idea!

Loving on our new chickens, chickens, chickens and a couple turkeys
A puppet show and some cool Picasso Tiles kept us occupied and in the air conditioning today!
We had so much fun learning about the stars today.....we drew constellations and went inside a mobile planetarium to gaze at the night sky
What an adventurous day! We started out by watching a firetruck empty its tanks into the canal and then off to the zoo. We seen and did so many fun things none of us could decide what was our favorite. We wrapped up the morning with a picnic in the park and trying to eat our lunch before the geese got it!
Water day was a hit! Just what we needed in this heat! Tomorrow is the zoo. We will be going before it gets too warm, so please make sure your littles have a light jacket and comfy walking shoes. 🐸
What a fun-filled day! Spent some time at the library and then enjoyed a performance by the Summerwind Skippers! Wow...they are amazing! Tomorrow is water day....don't forget swimsuits and /or change of clothes!😎
Keep on filling them up!
[06/06/17] Well, I am not sure if it was the weatherman or me, but one of us messed up on the forecast! :) The latest reports say Wednesday is going to be the scorcher so we will be playing in water that day and we will be moving the zoo/picnic in the park to Thursday! As for tomorrow, we are off to the library and to see the Summerwind Skippers perform. Can we say jump, JUMP, JUMP?!
We wrapped up the school year on Friday by watching a talent show and having a picnic on the playground! Fun was had by all! Tomorrow, we officially kick our summer program and boy do we have some fun things planned! This week we will be celebrating zoo/aquarium week with some fun activities and a trip to the zoo on Wednesday. On Thursday, it is supposed to be a scorcher so we will play in as much water as we can find! :) Come on summer....we are ready for you!

YES they are.....
Today we are learning about skunks! Yes, I said skunks. We are learning about what they look like, what they smell like and how to endure the smell when our daycare dog gets sprayed first thing in the morning and charges through the house before she can be redirected back outside.....vicks under the nose, sit close to an open window, play hot lava (stay off the carpet just in case) and how many things can we do outside until things air out a tad. :)
So what do you do when it snows during spring break.....pajama/movie day! Yay!
