Last Thursday we said “see you later” to our 2026 Cardinal graduates! 🎓

We had 10 graduates this year, 6 of which are parents!!

Graduation is always such a bittersweet event for us here at Cardinal. We watch our students come to our school shy, quiet, and some pregnant and unsure of what their future holds. When we watch them leave our school, we see students who have become confident, determined, resilient, and some pretty incredible parents. We watch their babies grow and take their first steps, we watch them lend each other a hand in the hallways and become friends outside of school, and we watch them reach the finish line of something they have worked so hard for.

We are so proud of these students and the class of 2026. You are all going to do great things & we are so lucky to have been a part of just a short time in your life.

Cardinal will always be a home for you all! We adore you, and we are so proud of you!

The year is coming to an end which means warm days, final assignments, and making some end of the year memories together! ☀️

Last week we were able to take a fun trip to the Zoo Boise and spend some time as the community that we are!

The final countdown is on! Summer, we are coming for ya… 😎

One of our most favorite end of the year events is PROM ⭐️❤️

Not just because we get to see the cute babies all dressed up, but it’s a night of dancing, laughing, and remembering that these are the memories we cherish!

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week!! 📚✏️🚌❤️

Our school wouldn’t be what it is without our amazing teachers. They each bring their kindness, patience, understanding, and support each day.

It’s easy to forget in the day to day to think about all that teachers do, and all that they work so hard to make possible for students. Be sure to stop this week and thank a teacher! 🫶🏻

Long time no see! Cardinal has been busy with so many fun things, so let’s catch up! ⬇️

🏆 We have been continuously having our award ceremonies to award and honor the students who have been going above and beyond in & out of the classroom. It is always so great to see their growth, resilience, and determination towards their academics!

🩷 The amazing The Booth Program for Young Parents has continued to plan and organize all of the amazing events for our parenting students to get quality, one-on-one time with their littles. Whether it be painting pumpkins, learning about summer safety, or Easter eggs hunts - they always know how to fill the parenting students’ cup with a little bit of love.

✏️ This year our students have been working incredibly hard one their school work, future, and goals. It has been rewarding watching their passion and motivation when it comes to all that they want to achieve!

🫖 Cardinal staff attended the annual The Salvation Army Boise Corps Daffodil Tea Event that honors The Booth Program for Young Parents. Our Executive Director, Jamie Garn, was presented with the Tea Pot Award to thank and recognize all of her time, love, support, and dedication she has given to both Booth & Cardinal. She is so very deserving of this award and we are so happy for her!

🎓 Last, but not least! Graduation is right around the corner for our graduating students. The countdown is on and it will be here before we know it. More information to come!!

We are always working hard, creating a space of community, and most importantly finding all of the best ways to support students. These are just glimpses of our everyday, and each day brings something new and exciting!

For those who don’t know, Cardinal Academy partners with the The Booth Program for Young Parents through The Salvation Army Boise! Kim is the Booth Program Coordinator, as well as a licensed clinical Social Worker - and an amazing one at that! ❤️

Kim shows up for our school in many different ways. She connects students to community resources and support, works incredibly hard on the back end of providing students with all that the program offers, and is the calm in any chaos.

From her contagious laugh to her ability to quote any and every movie - we adore her through & through! Happy Social Work month, Kim, and thank you for all that you do. Your love for the program, and for Cardinal, shines daily! ☀️

Happy School Counselor Appreciation Week! 🩷

We are so grateful for a counselor who shows up day in and day out for our students—advocating, encouraging, and making sure every student feels seen and heard. From turning tough days into brighter ones, to planning the most fun field trips, to sharing the best “I once had a job…” stories - our school is better because of her!

Abercrombie is kind, determined, and full of love for our Cardinal community—we appreciate you more than words can say! 💫

Be sure to thank your school counselors and all that they do to support and make a difference in students’ lives. Their hearts are big and full of love! 💕

Lena is sunshine walking through the hallways! She is always so kind to those around her and makes others feel included. Lena works hard to get her work done, is so proactive, and is one incredible mom!

“I remember being so scared and worried to start, but when I showed up all the staff was so sweet and kind to me. I immediately felt welcomed. Everyone was so friendly and I remember the first time I walked into the store and ate the school food, and talking to everyone.”

As we begin 2026, we wanted to take a minute to remember all of the fun memories made in 2025 for Cardinal! 🌟

2025 we went through another amazing school year, met and welcomed new adorable faces to our crew, and said “see ya later” to a handful of resilient and hardworking graduates!

We also began our newest school year and have already made so many fun memories of field trips, new community goals, and so much more.

Cardinal is our home and one that holds all of these special moments that when looking back, fill our hearts with gratitude and amazement. Cardinal wouldn’t be possible without our students, our staff, our partners, and of course the support of our community! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who made 2025 so special, and thank you to all of those who continue to show their support for our school; our home.
