On Wednesday, the JATC was among the MANY participants in the West Ada District-Wide College & Career Fair. More than 1,000 high school students were bused from all six district high schools to attend with parents and gain valuable information and options for their future.

At times, we had people waiting in line to speak with us. This was by far, the best career fair we’ve been able to attend. We look forward to next year!

The JATC had a visit from the Mayor of Boise yesterday! She and her staff got to witness some of our apprentices in action as they demonstrated skills they learned in labs such as Motor Control, VR Transformers, Wiring, Solar and Conduit Fabrication. Many thanks to our Local 291 for organizing this special tour!

Mayor Lauren McLean on Twitter β€œIt was great to meet some of the apprentices today; the pride they take in their work at the Southwest Idaho Electrical Training Center is inspiring. These apprenticeships provide family-wage jobs in our community and set educated professionals up for success.”
