Well, things have changed significantly at Wingtip. We have downsized BIG TIME. As you can imagine, Wingtip life got crazy when the world started spinning and we had to rethink our mission. We're trying to figure out what we will look like, but we wanted you to know what's up. Plans are in place for Leftovers X, and the actual call is planned for Fall 2021. We're teaching and sharing the printmaking love, so let us know if you need anything!
Whew! What a year it's been. Wingtip has weathered the storm and we're finally thinking about Leftovers again. As in Leftovers X! Yup, can you imagine? Ten years of Leftovers coming up soon. Stay tuned.
Hey Wingtip Fans! I know. It' been a while. A good long while and we miss all of you. We are temporarily closed until we feel comfortable sharing our space. And we've put our beloved LEFTOVERS print exchange on hold until we can give our tenth year of delicious Leftovers all the luscious attention they deserve. Stay safe and stay tuned! It’s First Thursday and Wingtip has the distinction of exhibiting our longest monotype ever! Over 200 participants created a 150’ paper river that’s as long as the Hoff Building is tall. Swing by The Idaho History Museum between 5-7 and check out our Boise Arts and History Funded Print Boise River.
We’ve been installing our 150’ Print Boise River on the floor of the Idaho Room at Idaho History Museum today for First Thursday. It’s 3 times longer than the room and jam-packed with prints from over 200 participants,
- so we adapted with some rapids and waves! See you tomorrow from 5-7 pm. ,

There’s more than one way to print a river! Thanks to Boise City Department of Arts and History, you can make your mark on our paper river Saturday July 13 from 10-1 at Anne Frank Memorial and learn a bit about what makes a healthy river from our friends at Idaho Conservation League.
Print Boise River. It's really quite simple:
1. Make a stamp
2. Stick it to a flip flop
3. Step into the ink
4. Step into the river
Voila!
Thanks to a generous grant from Boise City Department of Arts and History, we're celebrating Boise River with a 150' paper river! Join us at Anne Frank Memorial on July 13 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We'll have supplies for you to create a river inspired stamp to adhere to the bottom of a flip flop. Walk through your favorite color of ink and down the river to leave your mark! Save First Thursday, August 1 to view the river at Idaho History Museum.

After a wonderful trip to Italy to spend time at Dedalo Printmaking Center in Abruzzo learning etching and aquatint with nitric, watercolor monotype and brushing up on collagraph, will leave tomorrow from Rome. Had a great visit at the Archivo Della Stamperia and couldn't resist taking a photo of this handle on a press wheel. Home soon to prepare our Print Boise River on July 13.
We think we've found the perfect location and steamroller for our next big event. Pack your bags, tools and block and head to the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. It could happen.
Another great day of Print Boise River at the Library! at Bown Crossing where even the teeniest and tiniest of feet too small to fit in a flip flop will find a way to be a printmaker!

We've been so busy with Leftovers we nearly forgot to mention that Wingtip's PRINT BOISE RIVER workshops - so generously funded by a grant from The Boise City Department of Arts and History begin next week at Hillcrest Library on Friday, May 10 for the kids after school program and Saturday, May 11 for Adults and families. Come make a stamp using flip flops (provided) and walk your marks on a 150' paper river. Register here:
