Someone was paying attention in our “Healthy Bodies” unit a few weeks ago. Our preschoolers never cease to amaze us!

My daughter, Reagan, dressed up as a teacher today & I was honored she chose me. I think we have a future preschool teacher in the making!

It feels like winter at Bluebird!

This sweet little face says it all! Our first week of school is complete & we couldn’t be more excited for the new school year. One of our sweet moms made these cool shirts for us to start the week off right. I know we say this all the time, but we have the BEST families at Bluebird and we have the best jobs in town!

Found the best place to have a planning meeting! Our own kids are back in school and we’re working hard prepping for our new school year. Can’t wait for our first day and to catch up with our Bluebird families. It’s going to be a great year!

Our summer art & exploration classes are in full swing! Today we learned about life on the farm. We had a visit from a few farmers who shared their chickens with us, helped us make butter, gave us each an egg to take home & taught us about their bees & beehive & we got to taste their honey! We topped it off with a fun farm art project. Such a fun & busy day!

Sent some Valentine love to Miss Heather at her new home at Great Harvest. I hope her new employees appreciate how well she counts down as rocket ships like her preschoolers do😉.

Changes are afoot at Bluebird! Heather is going to be changing gears and running the Great Harvest bread company here in Boise with her husband. (Many tears have been shed over this decision!) Stop in and say hello to her! Heads up: she has promised all the kiddos a cookie for each visit. 🙂
We have two new wonderful teachers at the school! Kate McFarland and Suzette Rockwood are joining our little school and couldn’t be more excited! Head to our web site to read up about them.

This determined Bluebird student wouldn’t give up until every piece for her game was ready to go. She made us laugh! She also made us jealous of her strong little back that doesn’t hurt when she leans over like that!

We are loving all these back to school pictures! Preschool starts on September 5th so enjoy these last days of summer and get ready for another round of cute photos on the first day of school in a couple of weeks!

Cute cute Tic Tac Toe project this week. This is a great brain game for kids! Have you ever heard this game called Naughts and Crosses? Huge thank you to Miss Heather's husband and son for cutting and sanding a LOT of wooden blocks for our class.

This photo captures perfectly our philosophy about mixing age groups. We love watching our three year-olds learning from the older kids, and the older kids modeling more mature behavior and mentoring our little guys. It was completely adorable to listen to these two talk about Curious George together.
