Mark Cowan, the esteemed director of the Master of Science in Accountancy-Taxation Programs and a revered professor in the Department of Accountancy at Boise State, has been making waves since joining in 2004. With a prolific publication record spanning diverse tax-related topics, including works cited by the U.S. Supreme Court and utilized by CPA firms globally, Cowan's impact is undeniable. His coordination of the JD/MSAT concurrent degree program in collaboration with the University of Idaho College of Law further solidifies his commitment to innovation in academia. Hey Bronco community! It’s time to see what our Career Track MBA students have been working on, since their capstone projects were introduced.
Although there are five teams, we are going to highlight two projects for this update. This first is from the BBBSWI team working alongside Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho. This team created a Social Media Video Series, showcasing Big-Little relationships and aiming to recruit male mentors. This team produced content that will be posted on the company’s social media pages (4 videos/month) over the next several months, as well as put together event planning materials for the client to use at a recruiting event this summer! https://bbbsidaho.org/
The second update is from team Vinovision working with Lost Sage Wines! This team has been working extensively on completing their key deliverables, specifically a fully functional finance tracking dashboard for their clients’ to use as the company grows, as well as a 4-phase marketing plan for social media. https://lnkd.in/eWfTXkUS

The next client apart of is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho works to clear the path to a child’s biggest possible future. BBBSSI does this by making meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles").
Our Career Track team will be helping recruit new male volunteer mentors into the BBBSSWI program, focusing on highlighting the profound connections between male Bigs and Littles. They aim to address the pressing need for more mentors to support boys in the program.
To do this they will be crafting video footage of compelling stories to showcase the value of program participation in addition to organizing a recruitment event in collaboration with a BBBSSWI sponsor, and providing strategic insights through theoretical deliverables.
