Idaho Chapter of the National Rehabilitation Association

Idaho Chapter of the National Rehabilitation Association National Rehabilitation Association (NRA) is the oldest and most respected association of rehabilitation professionals. This is Idaho's local chapter.

The National Rehabilitation Association (NRA) is a member organization that promotes ethical and state of the art practice in rehabilitation with the goal of the personal and economic independence of persons with disabilities. NRA members work to eliminate barriers and increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We provide our members opportunities for advocacy and increased aw

areness of issues through professional development and access to current research topics. Together, we work towards a society where there are no barriers, environmental or attitudinal, to full employment and participation in life. We invite you to join our growing community by becoming a member today. Seven core values provide the foundation for our services and programs:
1.We value all people.
2.We are passionate in our belief in the economic and personal independence of persons with disabilities.
3.We are committed to advancing the profession of rehabilitation as one with ethical and enlightened practices.
4.Our strength lies in the diversity of our members and their work in the full range of rehabilitation fields the association represents.
5.We take extraordinary pride in what people with disabilities accomplish every day.
6.Our relationships with each other and the people we serve are based on trust, transparency, and integrity.
7.We believe in the importance of lifelong learning for professional and personal enrichment.

The Merchants and city leaders decided the junior college idea was worth a try in 1933 and so they made it happen. Over the years, the same could be said: “only through the cooperation of the merchants and people of this community has the school been able to survive.”

Some day, the story may go down in local history books as a special effort by merchants and community OR … it may be just a continuation of history. Either way, our community is what makes North Idaho College special. LONG LIFE TO NORTH IDAHO COLLEGE for many years to come! Happy Birthday, NIC!
