The Merchants and city leaders decided the junior college idea was worth a try in 1933 and so they made it happen. Over the years, the same could be said: “only through the cooperation of the merchants and people of this community has the school been able to survive.”
Some day, the story may go down in local history books as a special effort by merchants and community OR … it may be just a continuation of history. Either way, our community is what makes North Idaho College special. LONG LIFE TO NORTH IDAHO COLLEGE for many years to come! Happy Birthday, NIC!

Having a local community college has been essential to North Idaho.

The executive board for the Idaho Chapter of nra is deeply contemplating many different facets of our summer conference. We know that everyone is eager to reconnect. We have confirmation from the hotel that we can do this with social distancing. But here is our question to you. Will you come? Please say yes or no in the comments. The conference is In Boise July 23rd and 24th. We will have PPe and practice all cdc guidelines.

In Montana, 18-year-olds can drive a commercial truck all the way across the state. But because of a law dating back to the 1930s, they can't drive the same truck
