This evidence doesn't lie*!

Students who start piano with Let's Play Music are much more likely to stick with it! Why? Let's Play Music lessons incorporate play, group interaction, and are taught by expert certified teachers. As a parent I really value giving my children a musical education that will stick with them and foster a love of music that will continually bless their lives. Swipe to see how this program does that!

5 ways to encourage your child to love MUSIC πŸŽ‰

Listen to music with your kids! 🎧
- Always have a speaker around. Play it in the car. Ask them if it helps them concentrate or help them feel creative.

Sing with your kids! 🎀
- Children are interested in the things adults do. If you can show that you enjoy music, it will be easier for them to love it too.

Let them learn to play a musical instrument! 🎸🎺🎻
- Allow them the wonderful feeling that music can bring when they are the one making the music.

Do music-related crafts and activities! 🎨
- Figuring out how you can creatively integrate music into their normal activities. A great activity for our visual learners!

Attend live performances! 🎭
- Live music helps us not only hear music, but see it and feel it. Something your child will remember forever!

Kids are ready for piano lessons WAY before we start them because they lack reading skills and finger dexterity. πŸ‘‹

A child's auditory processing system is ripe for music from ages 0-9. Science has shown that learning music uses the same brain function as learning a language and is known as the "Music Learning Window". In the middle of this window, ages 4-6, is when the brain is MOST ready!

But what about kids' hands? What if they can't read yet?

If we wait until they knw their letters and have finger dexterity, we lose most of the brain's best function. Let's Play Music solves this dilemma by teaching music when they are young (the right time!) and in an age-appropriate way (the right way!).

Most private piano teachers won't enroll students until they are 7 or 8 --- when fingers are more developed and the child is reading. Don't wait! Sign them up for Let's Play Music! I have a few spots left in my classes and would love to meet you. Comment below or DM me if your are interested. You can also learn more at my website (link in bio).

There is so much to love about Let's Play Music Symposium! Classes, workshops, fun, games, dancing...the list goes on and on! But the best part is mingling with friends old and new. So much collaboration, storytelling, silliness, laughter, and wonderful conversation. One of the best parts of my year!

Thanks for putting on such a great symposium where we can all get together!

It was so fun to be back in the classroom teaching this past week!! Thanks to one of my moms for catching this fun picture of Echo Edna helping the kids remember the steps we use to SIGHT READ music:
1. Look and think...
2. Sing and sign...
3. Then we are ready to play!

Alright, all you musical magicians, remember to play the piano this week at home and I can't wait to see you in the classroom again next week! :)

Let's Play Music - Making Musicians

Far beyond piano lessons, your Let's Play Music student will also learn chord structure, ear training, sight singing, and classical music instruction. We take full advantage of the brain's ability to absorb musical concepts and teach skills in an age appropriate way.

Solfege hand signs, folk songs, games, imagination, and creativity are important components of each lesson.
