A big thank you to Andrus PTA for helping supply our classrooms as well and letting us turn in receipts for the expenses that teachers have taken on without realizing anyone would help us out. We are so appreciative!!!
Join us at Cafe Zupas tonight for the last family night out fundraiser of the school year!
This week is food allergy awareness week. As we approach the end of the school year and as a reminder for next year, let's try to be understanding of the kids that manage their allergies and/or diseases with the food that they eat or don't eat, each and every day. It can be scary and frustrating for a child to deal with and even more anxiety for their parents to not be there to help guide them. It wasn't a choice for these kids to be different, they're not just being picky, but it's something they have to be aware of all the time. Rewards and treats do not always have to be food. Lets try to find ways that every child in the classroom can participate with the same rewards and celebrations and not feel isolated because of their differences. For these kids and their families, they learn very quickly that people are way more important that any tasty treat. When we know better we do better!
So many beautiful decorations, delicious treats, kind words, and sweet gifts--It's been a wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week here at Andrus. A Huge thanks to our amazing PTA, our generous families, and our kind kids!!!😁💕🎉
