Fewer Idaho families are able to access child care assistance through the state's primary subsidy program, highlighting ongoing challenges in Idaho's early learning system.

Today, Idaho celebrates Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day, which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and the freedom of all Americans. In 2021, Governor Brad Little ordered recognition of Juneteenth as a legal public holiday in Idaho.
