Our next member highlight is Maggie's Place Learning Center in Idaho Falls. It started in 2016 as an Enrichment Center in downtown Idaho Falls, then Maggie's Place OnSite, After-school Childcare Programs in 2017, followed by Maggie's Place Tutoring Centers in Idaho Falls and Pocatello in 2018. In 2020, during COVID, Maggie's Place adapted once again, and opened Maggie's Place Learning Center.

Winner of the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce, Business of Distinction Awards, Small Business of the Year in 2018, Best of Greater Idaho Falls Gold Award in 2021 and 2022, Maggie's Place is committed to enriching the academic, social, and intellectual development of the children in our community.


Selkirk School has been dedicated to fostering the love of learning in Preschool and Kindergarten children in the Sandpoint community since 1978. Their goal is for your child to have a positive, productive, and fun school experience! Each child’s strengths and needs are recognized and respected as we facilitate growth throughout the year. They believe a confident, curious, communicative child who links what they know to new experiences will become a joyful life long learner.


Idaho AEYC brings together 22 Early Learning Collaboratives in communities across Idaho. Without these collaboratives, families would be left without resources vital to their children's development. Mark and Valerie are parents engaged in Idaho AEYC's Early Learning Collaborative in Julietta, Idaho. By building early learning opportunities designed by locals for locals, Mark and Valerie know they are giving children in their community the best chance for success.

Roots Forest School is up and was founded in 2015 as Idaho's first forest preschool, Roots Forest School is nestled in Ponderosa State Park. The place-based curriculum follows the flow of the seasons with the study of local ecology and seasonal changes, as well as learning the importance of taking care of this place, its creatures, and each other. Their preschool students spend their class time in both our forest classroom and on group hikes around Ponderosa Park. Whatever the venue, children at Roots learn through self-directed inquiry.

Cammra Wakagawa is a board member of Idaho AEYC and is the Area Director for New Horizon Academy - Idaho. She shares, "New Horizon Academy-Idaho has been serving the Treasure Valley community since 1995. One of our proudest accomplishments is that we have been nationally accredited with the National Association for the Education of Young Children since 2017. We serve families with children ages six weeks to fourth grade. We have one school in Meridian and four schools in Boise." It is officially Giving Tuesday! We wanted to kick it off with highlighting our first child care center, Eagle Adventist Christian School & Preschool. Eagle Adventist Christian Center is a small center with two classrooms located in an elementary school and have 25 students plus before and after care for elementary. They are a Christian school teaching about God, the Bible and Christian values and are accredited with NAEYC.


This year the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children wants to celebrate for !
