On the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance, Americans of all ages and backgrounds joined together to lead community service projects to honor the lives and service of those we lost on September 11.
AmeriCorps members, the Serve Idaho Commission, the Boise School District team members, and Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane gave their time and talent to strengthen our community schools.
“Our community schools serve as neighborhood gathering places where families and community members come together to enhance children’s lives and learning,” said Coby Dennis, Boise School District Superintendent. “The volunteer spirit at the heart of AmeriCorps and the National Day of Service is a great example of what we can do when we work together.”

It was a perfect day for the 2024 Homecoming parade! ☀️
