And theyโre off! Yesterday was a beautiful day for the first ride of the season for our Sage mountain biking club. Students in 5th-8th of all skill levels were led by coaches Todd Evans and Kim Cross, and volunteers Keith Donahue and several high school riders! U.S. History & American Government teacher Drew Lunt has spent 4 great days with 9 Sage High Schoolers touring and learning in Washington DC! They visited the Lincoln Memorial, MLK Memorial, Mount Vernon, Jefferson Memorial, the White House, the Capitol and Iwo Jima. Heโs planning another trip for Fall Break 2023 if your high schooler is interested, stay tuned!
Sage 7th graders took a long but important educational field trip to the Minidoka National Historic Site in Jerome. They learned why it was built, and about the nearly 120,000 Japanese and Japanese Americans who were forced into 10 isolated war relocation centers like this across the United States during WWII. Students learned the stories of those who spent part of their lives incarcerated there, and the part they play in Idaho and US History.

Sage International School invites you to the 2022 IB Diploma Programme Visual Arts Exhibition! Come spend an evening celebrating the achievements and hard work of nine senior artists as they share their artistic vision through curated bodies of work. This exhibition is the final phase of the examination requirements for the Visual Arts Diploma Certificate. Students have selected artworks demonstrating both technical and conceptual skills in a variety of media and artforms. The event is open to the public and takes place on Wednesday, March 30th in the JUMP lobby from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm.

Yesterday Sage 7th graders took a field trip to the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial. We feel so grateful for our students to have this opportunity right here in Boise โto think, to talk with one another, and to respond to the human rights issues we face in our community, our country and our world.โ Thank you @wassmuthcenter !
Last week 2nd graders planned and executed a very lovely and successful Flower Sale! They raised over $500 to be donated to local charities, and made a lot of people happy in the process. Forge Fam: WE DID IT! We received the amazing news yesterday that we are APPROVED as an official IB Authorized World School for the PYP. This dream team here of IB/Curriculum Director Dani Zwolfer, Head of School Darci Stelzner, and PYP Coordinator Nora Strauch put in a lot of time and hard work showcasing to the IB Organization all that we do at Forge to be IB! We also owe a huge thank you to our entire Forge community - staff, students, parents, and board - for this huge accomplishment. This afternoon was the High School Dotty Clark Finals, the event our Snowteam racers have been working toward all season. Our team placed FIRST out of 28 schools in the small schools category!! This past Friday, some of our Forge and Sage students were able to eat lunch together up at Bogus Basin. Both schools are participating in the Life Sports program that is offered by Bogus Basin. We are so excited they got to meet and connect, we look forward to more Fridays together like this!
