Youth Climate Action Council applications are open for the 2025-26 academic school year. This is an opportunity to get involved and spark change for future generations.

The council is supported by City of Boise staff to engage Boiseans in real solutions. We encourage high school students in Boise who are interested in climate action and enjoy volunteering to apply by June 30.

The WaterShed is excited to have Drew Nelson as an Idaho STEM Action Center Extern this summer! Drew is a teacher at the Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind and is collaborating with our team this summer to enhance our exhibit hall to better serve diverse audiences. Join us on Wednesday, June 18 at 5:30 p.m. for Exploring Wildly: Slow Fashion! A local expert will teach us about the implications of textile waste, how to choose sustainable fabrics, and how to mend your own clothing.

WaterShed Wednesday: 4-H Animals in Boise is still happening today (6/11) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, but we are relocating the event to the exhibit hall. We will have crafts and activities in the exhibit hall and presenters will be presenting their animals in the classroom.
