The WaterShed

Increasing water and climate change awareness and inspiring action for people of all ages

Operating as usual

We had over 120 students join our Youth Climate Action Council yesterday at our third annual Youth Climate Summit!

Students worked on climate action plans for their schools, learned from international youth climate leader Charitie Ropati, joined the Indigenous Idaho Alliance, BSU, and Boise School District in breakout rooms, and met with dozens of local sustainability and climate organizations.

In addition to planning the Summit, our Youth Council spends the year learning designing and implementing a year-long climate action project. Would you like to join our 2024-2025 Youth Climate Action Council? If you're a passionate high-school student living in Boise, you can apply here today! Applications close in early summer.
