Are you ready to be a world record holder?

We invite you to join us and become a WORLD RECORD HOLDER while raising awareness of the importance of groundwater to Idaho and Idahoans.

Groundwater serves as the primary drinking water resource for nearly 95% of Idahoans. This project allows youth and adults across the state to connect in a unique way while celebrating groundwater.

By creating and submitting a short video you can participate in a world-record attempt promoting the value of clean, safe, and adequate groundwater supplies in our communities.

Learn more at www.idahowater.org and get ready to submit your video March 6 - 12, 2022!

Idaho Water
What is a water resource? Idaho’s water resources range from small streams, to reservoirs, rivers, lakes and aquifers, all serving to support cities, industries, agriculture and recreation across the state.

The WaterShed hosted a NASA Earth-to-Sky workshop this week! Educators walked away with tools and resources to teach their audiences about drought. Thanks to our partners across the state and of course the amazing ETS team from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center
If you were planning on visiting the WaterShed Monday, Feb 21, we will be closed.
Just a reminder that The WaterShed will be closed to the public on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week.
Super Bowl Sunday is one of the busiest days of the year for our Water Renewal Facilities. All of the parties and people inside at the same time, add up to a lot of toilet flushes at the same time! We call it the Super Bowl SURGE :).
Our alevins are growing each day! If you plan to come by to see the trout babies, please remember that The WaterShed is closed next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (February 15 - 17) for a workshop. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you on the days we are open!
The trout eggs have started to hatch! Come by and see the new little wiggly Alevins (fry with yolk sac attached).
The WaterShed will be closed from Feb 15-17 for an event. We are sorry for any inconvenience and can't wait to see you before or after those days!
We got eggs! We're hoping to "fry" them up soon! Thanks, Idaho Fish and Game (IDFG) and Trout Unlimited Ted Trueblood Chapter of Trout Unlimited
Today's the day!

Salmon and the River of Life, Idaho storyteller Ben Kemper takes you on a fisheye's view of the Pacific Northwest, tracking the journey of Sockeye from the Sawtooth mountains to the great Pacific and back. A story that takes its audience through ancient myth, Idaho's history, and the struggle of the fish as they face increasing odds against their survival. You will then create a beautiful book bag using a unique printing process inspired by the story you'll hear this evening.

Idaho, you need to meet these environmental advocates. It’s their passion, not their politics.

Some of our awesome Youth Climate Action Council members spoke today on Boise State Public Radio. Way to go Jayden and Asha!

Idaho, you need to meet these environmental advocates. It’s their passion, not their politics. Asha Muhingi’s and Jayden Rehwalt’s pasts are dramatically different. Rehwalt was born and raised in Boise. Muhingi was a refugee from Congo, before coming to Boise at the age of 9. But their passion for change and their hopes for treating the planet with greater respect are one-and-the same.
