We will be celebrating diversity and community at Taft Elementary Schoolβs annual Cultural Fest tomorrow! This amazing event celebrates the diversity of the students attending Taft Elementary School along with the community through music, dance, food, and art. ππ For the past six years, D.L. Evans Bank has proudly supported this event through donations of money, food, and volunteers thanks to the dedicated efforts of Adah Elliott (Operations Officer at Boise West State location). This year our employees from our Boise, ID, locations have lent a hand by preparing delicious PB&J sandwiches to share during Cultural Fest. Additionally, our West State Street staff regularly volunteers at the school's food pantry events.
Left to Right: Bailey Key (Loan Assistant), Tanya Brisson (Taft First Grade Teacher and Event Coordinator), Adah Elliott (Operations Supervisor), and Jarrett Orthman (Regular Part-Time Teller).

During the month of April, Taft teachers will be working together in small groups to learn more about effective ways to work with behavior challenges in the classroom. At the same time, we'll be offering a 3 week Tiger Talk where parents can learn more about effective ways to work with behavior challenges at home!
There are many common topics both groups will be talking about, including helping children recognize mistakes, take responsibility, and allowing time and space to take responsibility.
In these 3 one hour classes, we will address your most difficult parenting challenges with tried and true Love and Logic techniques.
Parenting is not easy but it may be our most important job! Join us at Tiger Talks in April, connect with other parents and learn fun ways to help your child become more respectful and responsible. This Tiger Talk will be taught by former Taft Elementary School Counselor, Julie Drews!
Tiger Talk: Love and Logic
