Happy World Smile Day! Our Builders Club members were hard at work this week making smiley faces to brighten our school for this special occasion! Thanks for spreading smiles Builders Club!

Please join us at school for Parent Teacher Conferences Oct 11 & Oct 12. These conferences are held in an open house fashion. Parents can stop in during the open hours to visit which teachers they choose for 10 minute meetings.

It is time for the annual Book Fair at LSMS! The book fair will be held from 10/3-10/4 and 10/6-10/12. It will be open from 8:10am – 3:00pm M, Tu, Th, and F and 8:25 – 3:00 W. It will also be open during parent conferences. Come shop for books and support our LSMS library.

Congratulations! Lowell Scott Middle School student, Adee, was the only middle school student to place on the podium at last weekend's Crazy Train mountain bike race in Pocatello! She took 2nd place!

Lowell Scott Middle School staff were back at school today. After catching up and reconnecting, they were hard at work getting ready for a great school year! Thank you, West Ada School District for the delicious ice cream after lunch!

This year we are running 3 separate raffles for fall, winter and spring programs. Don't forget! Charger camp is for our new 6th grade students and other students who are new to Lowell Scott Middle School this year. We hope to see you here at 1:00 pm to participate and learn . Students will get a tour, practice their locker combo, and will have the opportunity to meet some of the staff and ask all their questions. Each student will get a goodie bag before they go home at 3:00 pm. Hope to see your new Lowell Scott Charger on Wednesday, August 9th!

LSMS Cross Country practices will be from 3:15 to 4:30 M-Th, beginning Aug 14th.
The first practice (on the 14th) will likely be shorter… mostly informational for parents, distributing necessary paperwork, introducing the kids to everything and maybe a nice easy jog or so.

Lowell Scott Volleyball Tryouts!

When: August 10-11, 4:00 - 6:00 pm - Completed and signed participation form and concussion form are required to participate.

Open Gym: Aug 12 & 19, 9:00 - 11:00 am (optional)

Regular Practices Begin August 14, 3:30 - 5:30 pm. Athletes are required to have 10 practices before the first game on August 24 to be eligible to play. Athletes may use the open gyms to make up for any missed practices. Tryouts will also be counted as part of the 10 days.

Ms. Terrill took the LSMS Sources of Strength members to visit our feeder Elementary school. The students played some games and talked about their sources of strength that help them the most.

This week, LSMS students worked with Cityoftreeschallenge.org, and planted multiple trees around the campus. We can't wait to watch these trees grow, and add beauty and shade around the campus.
