More than 1/3 of people who die by su***de had contact with their P*P the month prior. On Thursday, July 29, the Idaho FORM Project will provide a free virtual QPR su***de prevention training and Idaho’s healthcare workforce is invited to attend.

Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) provides training on su***de warning signs, how to approach the topic of su***de with someone and how to refer to the appropriate resources. These courses typically cost $30 so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity!

The session will be taught by Kaniksu Health Services Behavioral Health Dir. Gina Beck, LMSW.

Congratulations to Dr. Andrea Christopher, WWAMI alum and preceptor, on being selected as a 2021 Women of the Year honoree by the Idaho Business Review.

Dr. Christopher is the Clerkship Site Director at the Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and the Associate Program Director for the UW Boise Internal Medicine Residency. She also helped plan and emceed the Idaho Health Care Workers for Black Lives rally last June.

Congratulations on this well-deserved honor, Dr. Christopher!
